well Thayne you have knowledge of the weather. So if you think theres a good chance we get the racing in you should call the track and tell them to wait a bit longer to make a decision. We wouldn't mind making the trip if they were gonna try to wait it out and see even if it does rain, it's the "They tried" factor that means they care.

Also, there is no rain behind this system....so, nothing to worry about on the back end....This is a good chance for Barrie to show us they give a rats ass about us racers...

Thanks for all the hard work on the weather forcast Thayne. Now lets see what the tracks do. I do believe most of us will be doing a few laps on the old keyboard here on CRO tonight.

Hey Thayne...what does it say about Grand Bend...The Speedway has the Can Am Midgets there this weekend, as well as a 75 lap Mini Truck Memorial race!  What are the chances they get their show inÉ

Synopsis:

There are two short wave troughs moving into the region overnight tonight with an accompanying cold front. The real pain here is the cold front as the troughs will spark off thunderstorms in southern and southwestern ontario in the afternoon and evening hours saturday. The cold front will bring showers, this si where it gets tricky. The models are not in agreeance on timing of this cold front's arrival. The GFS has it arriving 6 hours earlier than the NAM and therefore the rain, according to the GFS will end around 330 or 4. The NAM (which I trust more) says rain all afternoon and night...

For Barrie: Light rain will fall beginning very early in the morning and should continue throughout the day and into the night. The GFS disagrees, but I trust the NAM in my experiences.

Sunset: The same as Barrie....Light rain all day and evening....

Flamborough should stay rain free all day as long as the Thunderstorms stay away and I think they will stay to the south. Flammy should get their show in.

Peterborough: Heavy rains will move into the Region around 5 o'clock after it moves out of the barrie area, they have the worst forecast of anyone.

Sauble: Will see rain off and on, more off than on, but enough will fall that getting the show in looks glum at best.

Varney: It looks like it will clear around 5 pm in Varney to a nice night. Will they wait it out?

Mosport: The NAM shows light, very light rain...I suspect it will rain most of the afternoon and night here.

For the record, you racers who now all of a sudden love the GFS, it shows no rain in any track's area after 4 pm.
