Rain Slows Down Joel Doiron and Team at Cornwall Speedway

With only racing one night a week for the most part during the 2010 season, a rainy Sunday afternoon, puts a stop to an entire week’s worth of preparation. On the bright side though, Doiron and his team have an extra seven days before they are back on the track, and they can use that time to get some work done that may normally get overlooked during the routing maintenance schedule.
While there isn’t much to right about this week from Joel Doiron team, the upcoming weekend looks much better, and Doiron is confident that he and his team can get back to victory lane in the final month of the racing season at Cornwall.
Once the season is complete at Cornwall after Labor Day weekend, Doiron and his team hope to do some traveling to other tracks.
“It is always fun to go racing at other tracks. We don’t get a chance to do that much during the season, but after Cornwall is done, we have a few races that we would like to attend. Possibly the Northeast Nationals at Brockville Speedway in mid-October”, says Doiron.
This coming weekend, Doiron will make a rare appearance at the Mohawk Raceway in Hogansburg, New York on Friday night, then it is off to Cornwall for a regular show on Sunday, with the exception of it being “Roofless” night at the track. Modifieds will run their regular 30-lap feature without their roof, giving fans a different view of the drivers on the track.
