Doiron Gets Top Ten Finish in Rare Appearance at MIR; Cornwall Rained Out

Joel Doiron generally sticks to one night a week, the usual Cornwall Motor Speedway on Sunday nights. Work, and other commitments have prevented Doiron from doing much traveling this season. With an early finish at work on Friday, the Doiron team headed south across the border to the Mohawk Raceway in Hogansburg, New York. The plan, of course, was to also attend Cornwall Speedway on Sunday night.
The beautiful Mohawk Raceway is located just across the river from Cornwall in the Akwesasne Mohawk reservation in Hogansburg, New York. Doiron has raced at the track regularly back when the track was known as Frogtown Speedway. At the conclusion of the 30 lap feature, Doiron crossed the finish line with a solid tenth place effort.
Doiron will make an appearance at Edelweiss Speedway this coming Friday night and the Doiron team will be back at Cornwall Speedway this coming Sunday night. Just three more weeks remain on the Cornwall schedule, and Doiron currently sits in eighth place in overall track points.
Once the Cornwall season is over, Doiron intends to do a little traveling, with shows planned back at Mohawk Raceway, Brockville Speedway, and others.
