I'd have to say that all the LM's put on an excellent show yesterday not just the front runners.  It was disappointing to only see 29 cars show up after the hype of close to 40 showing but in all reality I'm sure weather played a major role in that decision.  The only 91 car there was Max Beyore.  Are you sure that Walters was running a LLM??  Looked awful lot like his ALSTAR car or even his super late that he ran a year or so ago.

Tom Walters was driving the #31 Shawn McWhirter car. Steve Munro was running very well (tied for 4th place going into the last segment)  until he had contact with another car on the backstretch and hit the inside retaining wall doing lots of damage to the rear end in the final segment.

Hard to believe  but true Walters was running a limited late model with a four barrel carb.

too bad walters wrecked 4 people, donaldson and munro were the two worst ones he wrecked

Walters did not wreck Munro, Hanley got into walters ,hence jeff's visit to pit lane.Walters wrecked himself trying to avoid Munro. Donaldson different story , but its all yesterdays news now.

Dunno if Sheridan and Kennedy have their stuff fixed yet from last week, and if Pearn's got his engine troubles figured out yet. Hathaway and Kennington would've been in Montreal, and the 62 and 25 don't travel. The 91 was supposed to be there, and the 20 planned on being there, so who knows where they were...

Apparently Munro snapped the quick change rear-end in half.  He hit that wall extremely hard and bent the read end of the car up really good.  They had to bring the trailer out to the infield to load it up.

The racing was really good.  Like you guys mentioned it's too bad that more Delaware guys didn't show up, but Hooker, Hanley, Shaw  Munro and Thompson(last 2 while they lasted) put on a good show for the fans.

It was tough luck for Munro, he was running so well too.  I think that is the best run he has had, that I can remember at Kawartha.  Other than the incident with Robbie, I think Joey Laquerre ran a pretty good race.  He didn't have the fastest car on the track, but he seemed to have the best handling car.  I don't think he made one pass on the outside,  He kept the car down low, and everyone else seemed to go high.  Mchattie's car looked like it couldn't find the inside of the race track.  He ran high all over the track.

looks like 00 steve munro moved up well in the 2 75s . What happened to put him out in the final 50 . Was the 31 McPherson from Ottawa?
PS for Derek (assuming it's Derek Lynch) . I looked for the results under the news link of the Kawartha site but it hasn't been updated since sept 2004. Maybe save fans some frusration and delete that link.

Thanks ShortTrackFan - just read the name from the
roof of the car.  His name sounds familiar, but I can't say
i know him.   I was expecting a few more invaders too.
