Take notice other tracks this site shows everything.I like how they profile the driver with a picture of the car .Also how they show their schelude.Overall I thought Delawares new site was good but this one beats everything I have seen yet.

Now that's how a racing website should look like. It's better than most of the garbage that passes as racing websites nowadays, and it appears to even be Firefox friendly, which is a plus...

Welcome to the NEW Siemens WEST website.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

Well it has been one year from the date NASCAR announced that there would be no Western Series for the CASCAR drivers.

Since that time, we have had some challenges and rewards in keeping the cars on the tracks in Western Canada.

Heading into the second year we are pleased to see some positive and significant improvements for the 2008 race season, and the race program.

The most positive thing is some time to organize and market the Siemens WEST. Our major partners and title sponsor, Siemens Transportation Group Inc., have had a year to evaluate the series and how it can work for their 1700 employees and their 10 transportation subsidiaries.

Our philosophy for the series and the drivers has not changed.

• Build a competitive division, make it affordable and fun to participate in.
• Develop a professional image with the cars, drivers and crew members.
• Provide a great value and entertainment to the race fan.
• Provide value to the corporate partners and contingency sponsors
• Build the series into a business.
• Provide the drivers with some incentives to defer some of the costs with a points fund, and tow money funds.
• Ensure the rules are fair to all participants, regardless of team budgets.

We are looking forward to an exciting race schedule with 7 or 8 races starting on May 24, 2008 and the points final on September 13, 2008. All feature races will be 125 laps of green flag racing.

Watch the website for important information to keep everyone up-to-date with news from Siemens WEST.

Enjoy the holiday season and once January 2008 comes it is time to get those race cars ready.
