Buescher Wins The Pole For Chevrolet Silverado 250
 
NASCAR Camping World Truck Series defending champion James Buescher of Plano, TX won the pole for the Inaugural Chevrolet Silverado 250 with a time of 1:21.074, driving the #31 Motomaster Eliminator Chevrolet Silverado.  The 23-year-old will be joined on the front row by Ryan Blaney of High Point, NC.  Mike Skeen will start third.
 
In NASCAR Canadian Tire Series qualifying, Grimsby, ON native Jeff Lapcevich set the pace for the Pinty’s presents the Clarington 200 with a fast lap of 1:24.087.  Two-time series champion Andrew Ranger will start second and L.P. Dumoulin, winner of the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series race at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in May, goes third.
 
The Canadian Touring Car Championship held their first race of a Saturday/Sunday doubleheader.  Jonathan Rashleigh was the winner in Super Touring, Damon Sharpe finished first in Touring and Karl Wittmer was victorious in B-Spec.
 
Sunday's schedule begins with qualifying for the Canadian Touring Cars and will be followed by the Pinty’s presents the Clarington 200 at 11 am.  The Chevrolet Silverado gets the green flag at 2 pm.

what a race at mosport.. what a party there,, I did not know you could park your car any where ,, set up the bbq and pull out the beer,,Great job nascar drivers and to Ron Fellows

Was not able to go but watched on TV. Was an entertaining enough race especially with the antics at the end ;) Why was there only 30 trucks? Start and parks not think it was worth the trip? I missed the NCaTS race. How was that? The track looked great. Sign of better things to come. Who knows maybe the Grand Prix will return and the NW race?

Lepervich had the pole and had a strong car.. A lot of action happened in the pits and on the restarts...then a red flag flew up near the last corner.. Too bad time ran out to finish the race..
