HOOSIER TIRE CANADA RE-SIGNS OSS IN 2008

Hoosier Tire Canada announced on Nov. 29th that they will return to the Ontario Sportsman Series in 2008 as the Official tire of the OSS. New for 2008 will be a Tire designed by Hoosier to be exclusive on the OSS cars, and now will offer two different compounds for the first time.
The right side Tire #10188 is a 2070 compound which is very close to what the OSS ran last year.
The left side tires will now become Tire #10186 which are new to the OSS with a 2040 compound.
It is designed to be softer and provide more grip in shorter runs as the OSS show's are based on 50 lap events.
Don McKay of Hoosier Tire Canada say's he is delighted to return as the Tire of choice for the OSS and will also become a sponsor of the fastest growing Stock Car series in Canada.
McKay went onto say, " We seen an opportunity to work with the OSS in it's first year and everything went very well as the Car count grew and the competition level stepped up throughout the year. For us to return for the second year was very much our goal and we have successfully made the commitment to the OSS to be the tire of choice, once again in 2008"
The OSS ran the Hoosier Tire #10188 in 2007 and logged every lap with no tire issues what so ever.
The OSS Teams were very happy with the tire and found it to be a tire that could run several heat cycles without changing its performance.
David Didero, Director of Sales and Marketing, worked side by side with Hoosiers Don McKay to come up with a deal that would make sense for the OSS Teams, as well, bring Hoosier onboard as a series sponsor once again.
The Tire pricing will be set at $135.00 per tire which still is one of the most affordable tires in Racing today, more so,
a Tire that has a successful past history with longevity with proven performance.
"The OSS wants to keep the costs down for its Teams and based on the fact that you can go racing for the night for a little over $500.00 will allow the Teams a huge cost saving to their overall budgets. Additionally, several Teams will only have to buy right side rubber every other event as the left side tires are expected to last, and in that case your looking at a Tire bill as low as $270.00....that's fantastic" said Didero of the OSS.
The OSS welcomes back Hoosier Tire Canada as the Official tire of the OSS and once again thanks Hoosier for stepping up not just a quality Tire at an affordable price, but also for signing on as a Series Sponsor in 08'.
