Fastline Team looks forward to legendary Mosport

“It’s been a Mosport Father’s Day present for Dad we’ve had planned for a while.”

HAMILTON, ONTARIO (June 12, 2007) – Fastline Team drivers Jeff and Jim Lapcevich are hoping to present their father Joe with a unique Father’s Day present. The brothers of the Hamilton-based team will be racing at the next stop in the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series on the legendary Mosport International Raceway road course, race two in the 12-race schedule.

“I always look forward to going to Mosport, it’s one of my favorite race tracks,” said Jeff Lapcevich, the 37-year old driver of the #23 Tim Hortons - EMCEA Transport Fastline Motorsports Chevrolet Monte Carlo from Caistor Centre, Ontario. “We’ve had good luck there over the years, winning in 2004 and placing second the last two seasons.”

The Father's Day Doubleheader Weekend - The Dickies 200 presented by Canadian Shield Anti-Crime will take place Saturday and Sunday, June 16-17 at Mosport International Raceway, located 60 miles east of Toronto on the 2.5-mile, 10-turn road course in Bowmanville, Ontario.

“It’s always been a goal of ours to stand on the winner’s podium together, and it’s been close the last two years,” explained Jim Lapcevich, who finished fourth and fifth consecutively the last two years. “It’s been a Mosport Father’s Day present for Dad we’ve had planned for a while, maybe this will be our year,” added the 35-year old driver from Hamilton, Ontario and driver of the #25 EMCEA Transport – Tim Hortons Fastline Motorsports Chevrolet Monte Carlo.
