Changes Made to Racing Schedule, Open Wheel Wednesday Update

By: Anita Soltis

(Plymouth, IN)  Several changes have been made to the week’s events at Plymouth Speedway.

On Open Wheel Wednesday, we welcome Jarett Andretti, son of racing great John Andretti,  “The People’s Champ” Dave Darland, and Shane Cottle to the Playground of Power.  They will be strapping into 410 Non-Wing Sprints for a chance to win $2,000 and a $700 bow thanks to Athens Archery.  The Dickies Restaurant 600 Non-Wing Sprint drivers will be racing this Wednesday for $600 to win.  Omni Source and Merrillville’s Team VW Audi are helping to present this evening of racing to our many fans.

I-Mods will be joining us this Saturday, June 27 in addition to the Swan Lake Resort UMP Modifieds, WTCA Super Streets, Walmart Thunder Stocks, Bane-Welker Cyber Stocks and Dickies Restaurant 600 Open Sprints.  The Thunder Stock, 600 Open Sprint and the Cyber Stock features that were rained out on June 20 will be made up on July 4, per Owner Ed Kennedy.

The R&B Car Company will sponsor a spectacular fireworks show during intermission on Saturday.  Swan Lake Resort and Matt and Kristen Hovermale are providing a bounce house for the kids throughout the evening.

Gates will open at 4 p.m. each evening with hot laps at 6 p.m. and racing at 7 p.m. ET.  For ticket and pit pass pricing information, visit www.plymouthspeedway.net
