Put Brockville Speedway’s Northeast Fall Nationals on your Late Season Racing Calendar

By Jim Clarke, Clarke Motorsports Communications/First Draft Media

It’s never too early to start thinking about one of the year’s marquee motorsports events. The 1000 Islands RV DIRTcar Northeast Fall Nationals at Brockville Ontario Speedway is just over a month away.

All racing roads will lead to The BOS Friday and Saturday, October 16th and 17th as the 2015 season wraps-up with action featuring the Small Block, Big Block Modifieds and Sportsman Mods, along with Street Stock, Late Model and Vintage racing on the popular 3/8th mile speed plant on Temperance Lake Road, just north of Brockville. Track owner and promoter Paul Kirkland says this is the show that has packed the grandstands year after year.

“We’ll put a lot of excitement into a couple of days,” said Kirkland. “This event has to get fans through another long, cold Canadian winter and we want to make sure that it’s a memorable experience for everyone.”

Looking back at the last few DIRTcar tour stops at Brockville, it may soon be time to re-name the track ‘Danny Johnson Speedway’. At last year’s Fall Nationals the always exciting, second generation veteran speedster from Rochester, New York steered his familiar orange #27J machine to a sweep of the Big Block and Small Block Modified divisions. During this summer’s Super Dirt Series Big Block Modified show – Wednesday, May 27th – the usually aggressive driver used a very patient approach to snatch victory away from Billy Dunn with just a few laps remaining. If he’s in the field, that 3-for-3 streak would make ‘The Doctor’ one of the early favourites to take this year’s title.

The 2015 version of the DIRTcar Northeast Fall Nationals is more than just 2 days of terrific racing. There will be 3 live bands over the weekend, including the crowd favourite Ambush to kick things off, Friday afternoon at 2:00.

Don’t miss a single second of the action at this year’s edition of the 1000 Islands RV DIRTcar Northeast Fall Nationals – a Craig Revelle Tribute – at Brockville Ontario Speedway. Presented by St. Lawrence Radiology and Rez X Racing. Sponsored by 103.7 BOB-FM, The Brockville Recorder & Times and CKWS-TV. Friday, October 16th, racing starts at 7:00 and features the DIRTcar 358 Modifieds, Late Models and Street Stocks. DIRTcar Big Blocks, Sportsman Modifieds and Vintage Mods – along with a 20 lap 360 sprint car dash – take the spotlight for a 4:00 green flag Saturday, October 17th.

Riding a 3 race Brockville Ontario Speedway win streak that dates back to last year, Danny Johnson is an early favourite for the 2015 edition of the 1000 Islands DIRTcar Northeast Fall Nationals, slated for Friday and Saturday, October 16th and 17th.
