The Charger Division at BSW is for rookie drivers and for the drivers that have a hard time keeping up to the cars that are faster, it's also for the guys and gals who go out to just have fun and not into it to win every week, should be interesting.

Actualy they are taking it back to the beggining when we had slow car heats and fast car heats. The reason it had to change was to many guys were complaing about the advantage the slow cars got for points. At that time there was not enough cars to split the class into two. Hopefully this time the drivers won't take advantage of it and have it end up like 4 cyl. is now.

Thats what I dont get  , how are they defining the class what qualifys a driver for the lower division and what are they going to do to stop the cherry pickers ?

maybe it will have to be like a bracket race, if you start turning faster laps then a set time then you move up, that would help police it, but no matter what they do there will still be people play the system

This new division is for any Pure Stock 4 driver that does not have the finances or experience to compete with our very competitive Pure Stock A Division.
- If you are a current driver, you must be approved to run in this division and must meet certain criteria as approved by the Speedway.
- You can never have finished in the top 15 in overall points.
- You can never have finished in the top ten more than once in an A feature.
- Any new drivers may start in the Charger division.
- If any driver starts to dominate in this division, he or she will be moved to the A division bringing 75% of their earned points with them to the A division.
- Cars must meet all Pure Stock 4 rules.

It sounds reasonable but I would like to see something a little more definitive about what they determine is dominating the class .  Ambiguous rules like that always lead to trouble .

i think its prettey obvious if someone is dominant in a class, its a new class so give it time . I think its the best approach for a new driver to learn racing in a safe competetive way.

l think it is a great idea ,at least barie is not burying its head in the sand like everyone else and it will be a lot more fun for beginers and people who want to have fun, that was the original idea of the 4 cyl .I remember an incident last year ,some 4 cyl people think they are at Daytona .Give credit to Steve and Brad ,if you are to fast or consistant top 3 SEE YA, plus Pinecrest has some excellent points that are worth considering with regard to policing. The best method was the claim rule, ask ted edwards he left barrie in a hurry lol. But  promoters are pussies and never want to upset ANYONE and in the end they upset EVERYONE, consistancey breads success .In his second year l think St.Onge will come out of the shadows and take control and it will be the best thing to happen to Barrie Speedway
since  Coates and Gaunt left  for Cascar, sorry l mean Nastycar.

I think its a great idea as well . I am considering buying or building one for my kid . Now I just have to decide if I am going to have a 16v that will be competitive at Sunset or drive further to Barrie with a 12v or 8v car .

DEAR SANTA...

All i want for xmas is to finnish in the top ten...

so i have an idea..take the 15 slowest cars and make a special race for them ,this way i dont have to spend anymore time or money to be compedative...i know stock car racing is a money game ,but i dont have any..so it would mean the world to me if i could just once finnish in the top ten ..

PS.   i have been a good boy all year and i cant wait to be " the best of the worst "

yours truely

little Bobby Smith

Dear Bobby

First of all its Christmas  and not xmas  we are not celebrating the birth of X it is the celebration of  Jesus Christs birth.

I don't know when X was born but I know it was not December 25th and I think it was more likely it was some time around the  May Two Four weekend .

Rather then try to fit in to the 15 slowest cars why not try to be the best and fastest you can be .  Santa would like you to try to be more like Alan Kulwiki and less like Shane Hmeil . Remember many drivers have tried to buy a win but failed but very few that have worked the hardest to win have been denied .

   SANTA
