An historical 2015 schedule for the Cornwall Motor Speedway!
Cornwall, Ont –Tuesday, February 17, 2015 – Martin Bélanger – The Cornwall Motor Speedway is proud to announce his 2015 schedule as the busiest one ever presented with a whopping 21 shows that will start in early May and extend to September.
The season will start on Saturday May 2nd for the 1st edition of the Spring Sizzler Weekend! The Sportsman will have a 100-lap feature part of the new Bandit Motorsports Sportsman Challenge, the Modified will run two 25-lap features with both winners getting a guaranteed spot for the main event on the following day. The new Quebec-Ontario Pro-Stock Series will also be on the schedule with double feature with the Lightning Sprint completing the busy schedule.
Action will continue on the following day with round one of the Bandit Motorsports Canadian Nationals for the Modifieds with a 150-lap event. The Go Nuclear Late Models will also be on the schedule along with extended races for the Sportsman, Semi-Pro and Mini-Stock.
The season will officially open on Sunday, May 17th with the second round of the Bandit Motorsports Canadian Nationals with a 100-lap race. A full program will also be on the schedule. The rest of May will include complete programs on the 24th and 31st with the SpeedSTR visiting on the final show of the month.
A big month of June is on the schedule with the long awaited return of the World of Outlaws Late Models on June 21st. The Super DIRTcar Big Blocks Series will make their annual visit on the following Sunday and the Modifieds will have a Super Series Starter qualifier on June 14th with a 50-lap event.
You might want to spend your Canada Day at the Speedway as the second round of the Bandit Motorsports Sportsman Challenge will be held with a 100-lap event with 40 laps for the Semi-Pro, 25 laps Mini-Stock and the Vintage.
A total of 5 nights including July 1st will highlight the month with the Autograph Night on July 5th, a second 50-lap Super Series Starter qualifier on July 12th, the first of two visits of the Patriot Sprints on July 19th with the Canada-Usa Lightning Sprints Challenge with a second Quebec-Ontario Pro-Stock event on the final Sunday.
The Bandit Motorsports Canadian Natioanls will start the month of August with a 100-lap feature. The last race of the Bandit Motorsports Sportsman Challenge with two 50-lap events will occur on August 9th. The final opportunity to qualify for the DIRTcar 358-Modified Series will be held on 16th with a qualifier for NAPA Super DIRT Week. The August 23rd night will be busy with the Patriot Sprints, the Lussier-Seaway Sportsman Series, SpeedSTR, Vintage and Pro-Stock. Fan appreciation night will close August.
One the main event of the schedule is the last regular program of the season with the DIRTcar Triple Crown with the 125-lap 358-Modified Series, the 50-lap Sportsman and Pro-Stock Series along with a regular show for the Semi-Pro and Mini-Stock.
The Fireball Enduro will conclude the 2015 season on Sunday, September 13th.
