New Late-Model Team at CCS...!!! YEAH!!!
« on: July 02, 2007, 10:24:55 PM »
AL DICKIE PURCHASE'S JEAN CYR'S CHAMPIONSHIP WINNING ACT CAR: JULY 1/07
This is some very good news for Capital City Speedway and in particular the Late Model class which has not seen the support that we felt would happen this season, but hopefully this announcement is the start of the turn around for this class. Al Dickie has just returned home from Albans, Vermont where he has purchased the #32 ACT Late Model Car of Jean Cyr, a car that Cyr won the championship with and a car that will be a very welcomed addition to CCS. The word on the street is that a former Capital City regular Late Model Driver and someone that is considered one of the best drivers in this area is scheduled to do the wheeling of this car for Dickie. We are not at liberty to name that driver at this time but he is someone that everyone will recognize and someone who is no stranger to Capital City Speedway. The Late Model Class at the speedway was in great shape in 2006 but has not had the support this year that is needed if this class is to flourish at the track, hopefully Al's major move will shake up a few of the other teams that have been sitting on the fence. There is no question that we need to have a good car count in this class if the track is to grow in the years ahead and this move along with a few other things that are happening that we cant talk about right now will make the Late Model Class take the lead again in the growth of the track. Al and team getting ready to head home from Vermont with the #32 tied down and ready for the trek home to Ottawa and the cars debut This Wednesday night. Al also informed me that a new legend car is also in the works for this team with driver to be name at release time.

Hope you could understand even this is in french.
