Wow thats harsh.. Remeber the Barrie guys still have the rest of the season to get threw also. Not going to help them crashing you and themselves.

Not like we aren't going to see a few sunset guys out for Kawartha's wednesday night 50 lapper right? Untill I'm making a living in Thunderclass and the 50 bucks in purse they will beat me for matters, I say the more the better.

I can't think of how many time the late model guys bitch about it - oh wait, they don't. It's the nature of the beast.

Don't be sad, i think they would not go with having to change gears as the same reason that the kawartha cars wont come to sunset

Barrie would have to switch too right? BTW what gear do you run at Sunset? 3.73?

My turn!!!!......ok,Kristi, you have a very very valid concern but in years past (Slaughter Era) rule was that you had to run minimum 3 points nights to be able to run a mid or year end race. Now im not sure if that rule is still in tact or not but it is only logical thinking right? Now, barrie drivers are always welcome to come run at sunset when their own track turfs them time after time and keeps kicking them in the face, but from the ones I know, im sure that they have enough respect for us at sunset to understand that there is alot going on for us this weekend......but! im sure there is somone or some people that will show and hopefully understand he situation. Im gonna agree with Kristi with this one, but if they let them run then so be it, just respect our mid season.....any other night they kick you out on your butts, you are more than welcome!! As far as going to KD again?? not this year......still trying to understand how the last place car passes 4 cars under caution in the semi (The Sinopoli Bonzai) and only get put back 2 spots.....2 laps in, starts last, running last, caution comes out, passes 4 cars, goes back 2 spots?? hmmm.... and then having to deal with drivers who kamakazi through the oil spots in 3 and 4 in the feature and cant keep control?? The laws of physics from what i understand dont allow a 3300 pound car to do that but apparently one guy thought he was superman? But whatever, I had a blast, wont be back this year and, next year, definately coming with more CARB! I know what has to be done and I also found out that my sponsor has some amazing plans next year for me!!! WOOHOO! Thanks Wade for the help with that one!!

Kristi you have a very valid point.  I know Flamborough just had their mid-season for thunder cars this past weekend you were all off.  Out of town cars or other track cars were not permitted to run.  The same rules applied as what you ran at varney.  I know in years gone by Sunset use to apply the same rule.
I personally would have thought this being a make up night that we would have had double everything for Thunder Cars but who knows.  No different than what we did last week.

Eliminate the Jolopy races etc........... just a thought
And this has nothing to do with not wanting the Barrie cars at the track, it's about home track drivers going for it all.  They have supported the track all year and been dedicated I think they derserve that.

Note:  I am not speaking as an official but as a person with an opinion!!!!

Well, most run the 2 speeds with 3.73, others either run the TH350 with the options of 2.73, 4.11, or 4.56

i may not be a driver but from a fan from the stands point of view sure it would be awesome to have a great car count and see the old barrie vs. sunset cars but i agree with kristi and junior as well...as much as it would be great to have the barrie thunders there....this is definitely a big deal for the home track guys and like you said polishprince12...race stuff happens sometimes right? and nobody from a visiting track wants to affect home track guys like that...but it is too bad its not a normal night  :(

I like Deb's idea . . . .  2 features sounds like a great idea!

I DO look forward to racing with the BSW thunders on the 16th.  I enjoy the competition they bring, and the possibility of some moving down for the remaider of he year is great!

You can run at Barrie or Sunset with the same gears Ross. 3.73 in 1st works, some others run straight up... lots of options  ;D

i'm not bringing the car, but will be watching. i respect the sunset racers and appreciate their hospitality when we do get doinked by our own track. i only live 3 miles from barrie speedway, so you can see why its my track of choice. i didn't know it was your midseason until kristy mentioned it last night, we had ours in june????????????
