Sunset should cancel their cancelling of the show...call all the drivers and say they are running anyways. the weather is very bright here now.

That would be wonderufl if somebody cancelled the cancellation :(
WE WANT TO RACE!!

I am looking at the Environment Canada King City Doppler radar image as I type this and the precipitation is rapidly departing the region and although the cloud will likely remain throughout the evening, it should be quite dry with reasonable temps.
I remarked some time back that anyone who makes such silly calls (repeatedly as we have seen) either has ulterior motives or is just incompetent. I go with the latter when I look at all the rest of the nonsense that's occurred there this season.
Oh Look!! Here comes the SUN at 2:22 p.m.!!
Wes Good, do the racing community a huge favour and go far, far away from Sunset Speedway. This is a disgrace. A pox on you sir!!

Ross, you're honestly not getting the point that we're trying to make with wanting to run tonight at Sunset. ::)

Yeah but my point is its not just you that have to deal with that....

Kawartha had a bad ending and lost far more days than you guys, we arn't shooting insults at Derek and acusing him of some coverup...

Just saying from the point of someone that went through the same thing, actaully every racer has this year, you guys are taking it a bit far.

But regardless of the fan count, that's not what we're getting at here Ross. What we're talking about is points and championships. That's what important; not how many ppl show up.

Well actually it is, if you want the place to stay in busness..

Just gotta take the loss sometimes, like a rain shortend cup race.

Ross  Sometimes you just have to put yourself second when your in business and think of your customers first. In this case the customers being the drivers. With the standings being so close especially in the 4 cyl s with what 3 drivers within a few points , why in the world would you cancel something so important to so many so fast and not even have at least some sort of back up plan or date. Absolutey absurd is the only way to put it. If they have any smarts at all they would set up a rain date now even after the fact before they go down as making the dumbest move in history of local racing. Why piss off what fans they may have left.Maybe try and make a few more fans by thinking with a clear mind.

Agreed mipro. Barrie puts in effort with their raindates - running them Sundays. Our question is why can't Wes do that here espically when the importance of today has been well brought out?

Do you want me to name how many other divisions were decided because of weather this year?

KD Thunders: Reyns 40 points of Mayhew
KD LLM : Walters over Parsons
KD LM: McHattie over Jackson, 2 points apart at the beging of the night

Mosport:
Mods: Brown was working on overtaking Rothider, might have done that given one more night
6 of less: Ross something, was on a streek of 3 wins, and like 10 points out of top place, one more night and it was his....

This is just off the top of my head..

I'm pretty sure they did mipro. :)

Ross, we know that all over there have decisions over championships due to weather, and heck, this one partly is due to the rain-outs we've had this year. But all we're asking for is effort. Can't you even see that???

"Did they run the final night"

Who cares... Once you've missed that many races it does come down to who ran well when the weather was good.

Run an extra night, and that might just mean one of the leaders has a bad night and loses their championship. When so many nights were missed from rain, the points were screwed up anyhow. You coulnd't get in your full cycle of good luck and bad luck.

Now the answer, Kawartha Yes, Mosport No

I can see it, but, sometimes its not worth the effort. It really makes no difference, thats my point. You can't fix this season with one more night.. Its easier just saying, "that figures" because there isn't a villian here other than the weather.

Exactly. Those calls not to run were based on there being rain, this is just a boneheaded call.

rossevans, the point is that they aren't even going to try, period. That is unacceptable. It is bad business and if you share the attitude I sure don't want you anywhere near any business operation of mine!! The rain has stopped, hours before race time. It wouldn't suprise me if the track is ALREADY dry. The precipitation was in the form of heavy drizzle, not a downpour of rain so pit flooding cannot be held up as the problem as was the case several times earlier in the year when the rain quit and the sun returned. Also, it wasn't wet enough to wash down much of the rubber from last week! The drivers are rarin' to go and the fans will fill the place since it's the season closer so there is money to be made. It is not a logical call in any way, shape or form.
If they choose to reverse the call I will still stand by what I've said on this, but I will give credit if and where due.
