But Ross, the thing that is so frustrating is that the 47 DID bring this to the attention of the scorers the week after the mistake, and the 47 team were told "it was a typo, and will be taken care of" and it never was, and it ended up costing Tom the championship.

Ok, so what was "this". You say you know where the "error" was, so where was it?

Why post all the points when as you claim Walters knew that Morrow was X number of points off, back on June or July or Aug XXth, the week it happend?

Ross, see the quote below.
That's funny because the reply I was given at the time, was that it was a typo.  After June 28th the points were listed on the board as 739 for 47 and 699 for 11.  Somebody else please burn up their calculator and explain it.  It was brought to their attention and nothing changed.  So how many times do you beat your head against the wall?  Done

But Ross, the thing that is so frustrating is that the 47 DID bring this to the attention of the scorers the week after the mistake, and the 47 team were told "it was a typo, and will be taken care of" and it never was, and it ended up costing Tom the championship.

Well Ross, That would be because that affects all of the totals from that night on, and it shows how they came to their conclusions for the final total.

The way that 28th June should have been scored is as follows:
Chris Morrow, Car#11= heat 1 24, heat 2 12, feature 64, total   100   overall 688.
Sunset scored him as 699,  There is no possible combination of heat and feature points that could possibly add up to 111, as 112 is a perfect Hat-trick score! The 47 team were told it was a typo, and would be corrected, but it never was. and they just kept adding to the incorrect total.

Well that doesn't work with Walters own results...

699 - 688 = 11 points , so 11 too many points according to Walters.

BUT....

Walters has Morrow at 1408 sunset 1420

1420 - 1408 = 12 points, so 12 to many points to Morrow now.. Which is it???

so...................

That was the final night, Sunset scored Morrow ahead of the #6 car in one of the heats, when the 47 team didn't think that was the case, but that is minor anyway.

Even if Tom and Chris had finished with the same number of points, they both had the same amount of feature wins, so I think the tie-break would have been the #of heats won. Tom won 18 heats this season, to Chris's 10.

Silversone You are quite accurate in you findings for june 28th.Sunset would have scored morrow at 699 when it should have been 688.The extra point differance came from sept.20th heat #1 when walters had the #11 of morrow finishing 7th and the #6 finishing 6th when in fact morrow finished 6th and the #6 finished 7th.The actual points total that walters should have posted for morrow should have been 1409 as he had a 1 position error which equated to 1 point in that heat. The final points total that i received from another scoretakers source should have read walters 1410  morrow 1409.

This is pathetic. Now if an actual driver was on here with there concerns I can live with that. But this is like beating a dead horse, the season is over!!!!! LET IT GO PEOPLE.

Why should I let it go?? Sunset made an error in there scorekeeping, and I have tried my best to explain that error. If the 25 TC lost the thundercar championship due to a scoring error would you just let it be?? I don't think that Tom himself has ever posted on here, but you can rest assured that he is trying to take this issue up with the speedway. The speedway just chooses to ignore this very obvious error.

most tracks have a scoring protest procedure, if that exist at sunset and was followed that needs to be proven and acted upon also this procedure is also time controlled so that one has to protest within a certain time. is this also true of sunset? anybody?

Oh so now its 1410 to 1409...

The first disputed results were 1410 to 1408...

Claims here of an 11 point diff that didn't support 1409, then there were claims that yet another error was made for that 1 extra point..

Now its 1409, which would work with the 11 point diff in june, but not the latest "error"

You guys are really not helping the cause. All you are proving by contradicting YOURSELF is you really have no clue.

If I questioned Sunset's scoreing before, I don't now.

Thanks guys, should've stopped while you were ahead. Think it can be put to rest now?
