If you don't know the guys, then don't bash them, as they're great people to get along with.
So I take it you've never complained about, say, guys in Nextel Cup or how bad the Toronto Maple Leafs are then?

It shouldn't be much of a surprise, The only way to make it in racing is to buy your way there.

Do you really want to know what pisses me off, here are these kids that get all these big rides in series and theres a driver like Jason Shaw who has proven himself time and time again and i don't believe has ever been offered a ride in OSS series or NCTS.

Dave, did Jesse not drive one of your OSS cars in a race this past year?
LM28 If Shaw wanted to run in the OSS he would be. I'd be surprised if he is interested in the NCTS.

theres a big difference between running a series with your own money and being offered a ride.

For the record- After spending 2 years of busting his butt to try and find a sponsorship I did finally put Jesse in the car at Cayuga to debut..at no charge..including damage.
I think all of you feel I am like this type of Jack Roush deal...if you have money I will run you !!
That is not what I do, I run and race with people that understand what it takes to compete.
I have tried over the years to run several drivers that never even brought a penny to the table, which by the sounds of it most of you people out there don't know about, so please don't say things about what we charge for a race, or a test, or anything else that we do at Mid America if you don't know.
Names of Drivers that we have run in races for nothing include, Doug Didero, Jaques Lazier, Scott Harrington, Davey Hamilton, Petey Shepherd, Mark Swain, John Fletcher and Jesse Pontello.

You know folks, the Trailer Park, Grand Stand Seating racers that say the most on this site are the very same people that don't know JACK, and I don't mean in Roush !!
If you enjoy racing and want to be a supporter of the sport, then grow up and sound like you care instead of bashing the heck out of everything that you know nothing about.

CRO has made this site for race fans, not for those that consider it a place to talk about something they will never no know anything about or understand.

More so I get a big kick out of the guys that want to tell you what something cost in NASCAR CTS and the guy has only ever run a minny stock. The crew member's that love to talk trash but have no idea what a grade 8 anodized bolt cost.
To the persons that consider $10,000 to much for a test but will go to the Petty driving experience and come home a seasoned veteran and only had to pay $3600.

I get allot of my friends in Racing ask me why I bother with this site and my reply is the same thing everytime.
"For every reply you get, 1 in 10 is a race fan or someone who is in the know. For every person that matters in life, only 50% of the people you meet will ever change yours, and for the fans that follow our sport- they all deserve an inside look at what we do for a living"

That's a pretty condescending attitude towards a potential fanbase for someone in your position, isn't it? From that, it seems like the only fans you want are the ones who kiss-ass and never see anything wrong...

Now now Mobile1... Don't start messing things up here... I am saying for race fans to comment they don't need to sound like fools. How many football fans sit and watch every game and say they should have done this or should have done that, although most of them have never played the game.
If I am going to talk football with Marv Levy I better only talk football, but if I am going to tell him how to play the game.. I better have played it myself.

All Race Fans are GREAT !! and without them there is no such thing as Racing. Saying that I think most fans are educated enough to admit they know what is going on during a race, but they are not going to replace Zippy on Stewarts pit box, and for sure they are not going to tell him on what they did wrong or right- they will just remain as loyal race fans.

You don't want to know what the Cup Teams or even Teams up here call Race Fans that know it all !!
Censorship protects the content of the CRO site... thank God !!

Basically all of them, really. I'm sure with anything, there's some "students of the game" that know more than some of the participants themselves, or given the opportunity, might even do better. The vast majority of fans never get the chance to do so. Really, I guess what you're trying to say is that a loyal race fan should just shut up and watch, right?

I would never tell a Race fan to shut up !!
A good line from a movie- Austin Powers- Zip it !! is much nicer then Shut Up !!

I love the feedback from fans, but in a bad world or a good one, there is no room for bashing when being
polite goes much further.

Get along and don't throw sand when your playing in he sand box.

I too wish Jesse the best of luck in whatever he jumps into. I only met him briefly while we were buying his Sportsman car. He seems like a switched on kid who with the right ride and some luck could have a successful career in motorsports. How Midamerica picks their drivers is their business. Who are we to judge their decisions. Good luck guys.
By the way if you field a third car I'll be more than happy to run it for ya. lol.

Mid a month ago you came on here and said you would let anyone test your OSS car for 200 laps for $12,000.

Mid i run a LM and i know how much it costs. $10,000 is to much for a test drive, sure if I had a lot of money I would probly do it but the reality is that I would much rather spend that 10G on a crate engine at flammy and run a faster and more competitive class.
