Rain Cuts O’Brien’s Weekend Short; Three More Weeks Left to Decide Championship at Cornwall - Craig Revelle – Finish Line Web Design
August 11, 2010

Danny O’Brien had just a pair of races scheduled this past weekend, but the one race of the weekend O’Brien had been eyeing up the most was lost due to late afternoon rain that hit the Cornwall Motor Speedway.  O’Brien, very much in contention for the Cornwall Speedway track championship is just a few points back of the current leader, with just a few short weeks remaining in the season.

After a one-week hiatus, O’Brien returned to the Brockville Ontario Speedway last Saturday night.  O’Brien began the night with a sixth place starting position in his qualifying heat, and worked his way up to third at the checkered flag.  Come feature time, O’Brien was hoping for a strong finish, but the overall goal this late in the season is the run at Cornwall the following night.  O’Brien managed at ninth place position at Brockville, but was quick to point out that he was experimenting with his Global Warranty, 1000 Islands RV, Pat’s Radiator, 103.7 BOB FM, Jackson’s Landscaping & Property Maintenance, Murdock’s Cement Finishing, Stover Bus Lines, Kendrick Racing team prepared Bicknell car, looking for something special for Cornwall.

“We really want to win the championship at Cornwall.  We haven’t had the best of seasons but at Cornwall we are only a few points behind, and that is our best chance to put a bright spot on this season”, claims O’Brien.

O’Brien will be back at Brockville on Saturday night, and then off to Cornwall Motor Speedway once again, hoping to take over the points lead, with less then a month to go in the season.
