Chad Strawn picks up The Hanover Holidays Modified Series Feature win:
Location: Sunset Speedway, Lefroy Ontario May 18, 2014
What won the race: Chad Strawn took advantage of the pole position to take an early lead. After losing the lead to the #39 of Shane Stickle, the #77 of Strawn retook the top position on lap twenty and lead the final ten laps to record his first OSCAAR Modified feature win in his rookie season.
Drivers on the Move: The #2 of Matt Barton started the 30 lap feature event in lucky thirteen starting spot and was able to move up to third to record his first podium finish of 2014. Sophomore driver Branden Bullen moved from his sixteenth starting spot to seventh at the end, picking up nine spots.
Bad Luck of the Event: Rookie of the year contender #99 Drew Stieler suffered motor issues during practice and could not make the event. Heat race winners #91 Mike Westwood and #14 Dave Terry both involved in early race incidents placing them fifteenth and sixteenth in the final run down.
Rookie Battle: Six Hanover Holiday Modified Rookies where in attendance. The top rookie was #77 Chad Strawn feature winner, followed by #61 Dustin Jackson in fifth, #91n Max Beyore in sixth, #36 Gary Elliott in ninth,#88r Tommy Robb,#99 Drew Stieler dns
