CFS Kicks off "Speed Weeks" with Street Racing Event
Sept 27, 2009 - This weekend the CENTRE kicks off "Atlantic Speed Weeks" with the first of 3 events which will run from Oct 4th through to Oct 17th including the Atlantic Street Wars Championships, which will feature street-legal racing action including Burnouts, Street Drags, Slalom, Stereo Competitions and more. Then on Oct 9 - 11 it's the original Speed Weekend in Atlantic Canada with the Atlantic Stock Car Championships (the crown jewel of Speed Weeks) and finishing off on Oct 17th with the Atlantic Demolition and Endurance Championships and what the CENTRE believes is the biggest ever purse to win a Demolition event of $10,000. This weekend on Sunday, Oct 4th at 1 CFS expects to rumble when some of the areas baddest rides come out to show exactly what they've got. "I'm excited about this event and the concept of Speed Weeks here in Greater Moncton. We have so many great motor vehicle events here each year and obviously a lot of enthusiasts for motor sports. These events add to the stationary displays that make up great shows like Speed Sport of the Atantic Nationals and i'm sure enthusiasts will appreciate them. The event is open to anyone with a motor vehicle (including cars, trucks, bikes, etc) and a drivers license. There will be cash prizes, giveaways and contests for the fans and racers. The Atlantic Street Wars kicks off Atlantic Speed Weeks this Sunday at 1 PM with $500 in cash to the top "Street Warrior".
