Mosport Driver's meeting results
« on: January 11, 2009, 07:08:17 PM »
From today's drivers meeting:

6-or less:

No changes to the car

Mods:

They will be allowing then to run the front wheels closed in. A body style like Super Lates. No other changes

LM:

Name change from LLM to LM. Shock rule, Koni I beleive, they are specing the shock, and not allowing "any shock under XXX dollars"

2-way radios will be allowed.

New Class "Sportsman":

Since its a new class I will post all the rules tomorrow when they come out. Bassically 2 types of cars can be run. Thunder cars and LLM that are overslung only.

All cars will have to run an automatic, 5" ride height, Hoosier 790 tires. Pro WB shcoks will be the spec. 602 crates will be allowed with built engines staying per the old thundercar rules.

53% left 45% rear. $500 to win..

I'm going to run it Joe and see how it goes.

Considering Brian is saying he'll "do everything it take" to get the guys running near the back up to speed means it an opotunity to try out some new stuff, without tech on your case about it  ;) If you can keep your Thunder near the pack in this class, you are going to have a very strong car to take to other tracks to run thunder in...

Worst thats going to happen is its going to be test and tune time for me with extra seat time, so why not. Makes for a good night out, where you are not affraid to try new stuff, because I don't think I will be a factor in the points anyhow, thats how it was last year, and really let me try different setup there.
