GRANBY, PQ – The first ever Can-Am Challenge sprint car event will be
hosted by Autodrome Granby in Granby, Quebec come May 11th & 12th, 2012.
Over $33,000 in prize money for the weekend, with the winner of the 30
lap A-Main feature taking home over $5,000!
The very best 360 sprint car drivers from six states and two Canadian
provinces will trek to the very popular 1/2 mile oval to see who is up
to the challenge in becoming the first Can-Am Challenge champion.
The Southern Ontario Sprints will be there to help fend off the America
invaders from the Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints, the Patriot Sprint
Tour and Sprint Cars of New England in this season opening co-sanctioned
event.
The action will kick off Friday night with a preliminary night of
qualifying, heat events and twin-15 lap, $500 to win A-Main’s with the
winners guaranteed at least the 10th place starting position in
Saturday’s A Main event.
On Saturday, group time trials, heats and B-Main(s) will lead up to the
28 car starting field for the $5,000 to win, $500 to start A-Main event.
The A-Main will carry a purse of over $25,000 which will see the very
best in 360 sprint car racing in action.

ASCS rules apply, ASCS gasket motors allowed. Tires allowed as per
sanctioning bodies (ESS, Patriots, URC, Corr-Pak sprints, SOS) .
Teams must fill out and mail in entry forms, with a special early
pre-entry deadline set up for April 1st.
This event is included in the 2012 Southern Ontario Sprints Schedule as
a show-up points event. Teams must be 2012 SOS members and register as
an SOS entry prior to event to qualify for points.
