Just wanted to say, as a member of the Canadian Armed Forces I was very impressed, and proud to see the mural on the hood of the 36 car, and have made a point of showing as many of my peers at work as I can!!
Thanks Mr Elliott for caring!!!!!
As a race fan, loved my first Autumn Colors, and as long as I stay posted to Borden will be attending every year!!!
Maybe a wee few too many cautions during some of the races, not gonna mention which ones lol, but heck, I would of sat there till 3 in the morning watching racing if it was still going on.
The only part of the whole thing I didn't like, was gettin in my car Sunday night leaving, and knowing it was over!

Glad you had a blast coming to your first Autumn Colours. I had a support our troops set of decals on the #81 - but with all the #81's in the field of cars, they made us put a duct tape X on each side of the car... sigh....

Having been in the military for 22+ years now, I think I can speak for many men and women in uniform when I say all the support shown to us is greatly appreciated, and very much noticed! (and yes, there was a few 81's out there! lol )
Thanks :)

I made sure car 34 had a nice Cammo ribbon on the hood. Its the least we can do to thank those who serve.

What an exciting weekend of racing .  Great number of cars, I heard something like over 200 in all. My thought and prayers goes out to the driver that had to be taken to hospital and transferred to Toronto. Pay backs were awesome for dirt that was carried over from other tracks. Fans were great and food was great, hospitality was excellent.  Can not wait for next seasons finally. Great to see driver, so dedicated that they would haul for 10 hours just to be there. Anyone who could not find accommodations, we stayed at the Lindsay Inn a very nice place and friendly. Just a few hundred feet off #7 and Lindsay Street.  Wishing everyone ALL the best and see you next year.

i was disapointed with the pro-late model race.  lsot track of the number of cautions.  it was more like a demolition derby.  OK, my rant is over.  what can be done to ensure this type of "derby" doesn't happen again next year?  should they start fewer cars in the main feature? maybe have a "B" feature instead.  PTBO speedway has become a single groove track.  Is it time for the track to be resurfaced?

I just want to say that I was honored to run the Canadian Heroes hood on our car this past weekend.  I would like to do it again in 2012 but have some representation from our local military base and even some mobile units in the parade lap.  We are running the hood again this weekend at Flamboro for the Late Model Twin 50's.  Saturday at 3:pm races start, Sunday is the rain date.

The Pro Late Model feature should have been the most exciting race with over 18 great runners in the field from all over Ontario.  I have my thoughts on what happened and more importantly why.  On my web site I wrote a lengthy review on the race.  www.elliottracingteam.com (go to message board, then genreal chat, then click on Diary Of A Season 2011, it's on the last page....you may not agree with me, but it's the way I saw it before, during and after).

I felt bad for the fans and the many first class racers in the show, I'm sure all or most of the drivers felt the same, not happy being in a race that was a huge let down.  Congrats to Dan McHattie and his team for taking the win.

I thought about the race today, and came up with the same idea that "raceready" did, that maybe less cars, and a B feature would help, but I'm not convinced that's the answer.

I think of all the Late Model specials I've been in, this one had the best overall line up.  Parsons, McHattie, Shaw, Mercer, Kennedy, Baker, Fitzpatrick, Watson, Kymball, Matthews, Cox, Gresel, Morgan, Shepherd, Box, Corcoran, Bailey, Jacobs are 18 of the 24 that started and everyone of these men are good racers...not to say any I left out are not, I was doing this from memory. It's too bad it wasn't a much better show.
