Now that the labour day weekend is over, what plans are in progress for the track. Excited to see or hear what is happening.

Actually, I heard they're leaving the track surface "as is"  for another year yet.  But that's just "a friend of a frirnd of a friend told me" kind of info. Nothing concrete.

I think re-doing the track in stages over a 1-2 year period would be a good idea. That way they can still have some racing. Especially with the NASCAR buying CASCAR deal in the works. Every time that I had asked someone involved with the track if bull dozing it after labour day was still in the plans, they were non-commital. I think that the new owners wanted to keep their options open. I thought that the crowd for the CASCAR Labour Day show was pretty decent considering the threatening weather. I've seen some very sparse crowds there. So I say that shows that people will come out to Cayuga if there is a worthwhile event and it's promoted properly. So why not race and renovate at the same time?

I have been past the track a few times since the last race and nothing seems to be happening. I went by today and the port-o-potties are still there. All buildings are still standing. What I heard was the buildings were going to come down and new ones put up and new washrooms put in.

It all takes time.

Some of the folks associated with the track were down in Richmond for the race on the weekend. I don't know if it was business or pleasure. My guess is a bit of both. This and the fact that they are all probably a bit worn out from organizing recent track events is maybe why things are quiet and low key rigt now. Just my 2 cents.
