Sanair 100 Postponed Due to Rain

Saint-Pie, QC – The Sanair (Super Speedway) 100 in St-Pie, QC on Saturday, August 11 has been postponed due to rain after completing 7 laps of the feature event.  The event will be completed on Sunday, August 12 with a post time of 1:00pm.

The drivers voted to qualify the feature event based on practice times after rain threatened all day.  Serie ACT Castrol points leader Patrick Laperle started on the outside pole next to ACT point-leader Wayne Helliwell, but had already jumped out to a lead by the time the rains came.  39 cars ACT and Serie Castrol competitors started the feature event.   

On lap seven, Laperle led fellow Serie ACT Castrol Champion Karl Allard and pole-sitter Helliwell.  Joey Polewarczyk, Jr. and Jean-Francois Dery completed the top five cars in the running order on lap seven.  Brent Dragon, Austin Theriault, Eddie MacDonald, Ryan Nolin, and Brian Hoar completed the top ten.

The Sunday, August 12 rain-date will feature the stars of the American Canadian Tour, Serie ACT Castrol as well as Supertrucks and Sportsman divisions. Pits will open at 10 am, and post time is 1:00pm.
