56th Vermont Milk Bowl To Be Broadcast on MAVTV

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE                                                                                         ACT060118-27

Waterbury, VT – American-Canadian Tour (ACT) and Thunder Road Speedbowl officials announced today that they have reached an agreement to broadcast the 2018 Vermont Milk Bowl presented by Northfield Savings Bank on MAVTV Motorsports Network. It is the first time in the event’s 56-year history that it will air on national TV. The event is scheduled to take place at the famed racetrack from Friday, September 28 through Sunday, September 30.

The 1-hour tape-delayed broadcast will feature the 3-segment Milk Bowl plus highlights from Booth Bros./H.P. Hood Qualifying Day. It will be produced by Speed51 TV using a multi-camera format that includes replays, network TV–style graphics, and on-board cameras. A full broadcast team will be on hand for the Milk Bowl. The broadcast premiere date is to be announced soon.

"We are looking forward to catching that kiss of the cow and showcasing the Milk Bowl on MAVTV,” said MAVTV broadcaster and Speed51.com owner Bob Dillner. “I worked with Ken Squier (former track proprietor) for many years, and he told me so many stories about this event. I can’t wait to be able to capture all the excitement on our Short Track America broadcast. We hope we make people want to go to the event more in the future.”

“This is a tremendous opportunity for us,” Thunder Road co-owner Cris Michaud said. “We’ve said for years that the Milk Bowl is ‘The Toughest Short Track Stock Car Race in North America’, and now all of North America will get to see the excitement for themselves. It’s also going to give our local racers great exposure to both fans and potential sponsors.”

MAVTV is available on cable and satellite television providers throughout the U.S. It broadcasts a variety of live and tape-delayed motorsports events along with automotive reality shows, action/adventure series, and mixed martial arts. MAVTV currently holds broadcasting rights to the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards, the FIA World Rally Championship, the British Motocross Championship, and many other national and international series.

If MAVTV is not available in your area, you can still watch the tape-delayed broadcast of the 56th Vermont Milk Bowl online once it is posted through Lucas Oil Racing TV. This subscription-based service offers 24/7 access to a variety of motorsports broadcasts on your computer, tablet, or smartphone.

In addition to the tape-delayed broadcast, fans who live outside the region can also watch the Vermont Milk Bowl presented by Northfield Savings Bank live on Speed51 TV Pay-Per-View. Speed51 will be broadcasting all the action of this year’s Milk Bowl. More information on the live broadcast will be announced at a later date.
