« on: September 05, 2008, 12:38:50 PM »
Ok can anybody even GET TSN2?

I have Bell...and well Bell owns CTV/TSN and they don't even carry it!

The N'Wide race is on TSN2 tonight...just the beginning of what I feel is gonna be a lot of  NASCAR stuff on TSN2... I can just watch the race online.

but I was just curious does anybody have the channel yet? or can even order it..

I just called Source Cable in hamilton about 2 minutes ago and they said that they are in negotiations with TSN for that channel.  Only Cogeco has it.

I'm on Rogers....no TSN 2.
I phoned them this A.M. and they said that they were in negotiations....guess that means we'll get it next year with a more expensive package of stuff we don't want.

Not sure if I read this here or where, but there's a story behind all this.  If you notice that the TSN alt feed has been down for a while (in my case Rogers), it is because TSN decided out of the blue that wanted the carriers to pay for it several months ago.  If they didn't pay for it, they'd loose it and not be allowed to carry TSN2.  Not sure of all the details, but it was something like that.  What's funny is the amount of promotion TSN is doing for the new channel, but it seems noone can actually get it.  I guess we're all supposed to go running to our carriers and demand they add it...

I remember when TSN actually gave a crap about NASCAR and worked hard to show the races.  Remember around the mid nineties when the stars aligned perfectly and we could see every single Winston Cup race live?  It seems to be going the other way now.

Thank god for the internet. :)

I have Starchoice and they don't carry it either. What I did notice that they have resumed the TSNalt channel. If you recall, they removed the channel about a month ago. Check to see if other service providers have done this. Maybe TSN has realized the backlash from the public over missing the NASCAR races and has set this alternate up. Just hoping. ???

I have TSN2 on Cogeco, but you need to have the digital package to receive it. I can see down the road, you'll probably need the HD package to get it.

I missed taping the GP3R race because I had it set for TSN.

We all should phone & email complaints to TSN & our providers, just maybe they will re-air everything at a later date.

I emailed TSN about not receiving TSN2 on Express Vu but got no reply.

What about TSN's contract with NASCAR ?

Maybe emailing NASCAR and letting them know a good portion of Canadian fans are
"cut off"  from watching the races thanks to TSN , TSN2.
