Tabatha Murphy Posts Impressive Second Place Finish at Brockville on Saturday Night; Moves to 8th in Point Standings With 3 Events Remaining

Like most Saturday night’s throughout the summer, Tabatha Murphy was at Brockville Ontario Speedway, looking to find success, and return to victory lane for the first time in 2013. She is locked in a very close battle for a coveted spot in the top ten in the BOS point standings with the end of the season looming at month’s end.
The night started off strong, as Tabatha picked up the win in her qualifying heat race, and started the 25 lap feature from the front row. Tabatha jumped out to the lead early, and continued to hold the lead through 15 laps. Although she fell to second, Tabatha ran a great race, and crossed the finish line with her best result of the season in second place. With just three points events remaining, Tabatha is now eighth in track points, and is in a fierce battle with position six through 11 separated by only 20 points.
“We got the win in our qualifier and a second in the feature so it was a great night”, says Murphy after exiting the car after the race. “We were close, just not close enough. I really have to thank the fans and all of our sponsors for their support”.
This coming weekend, Murphy will be back at Brockville Speedway on Saturday night, looking to post another strong finish and climb even further up the point standings. She is also looking to get back to victory lane for the first time since July of last year.
