LATE MODEL RULES MEETING OCT 25TH
« on: September 22, 2006, 07:35:10 PM »
LATE MODEL RULES MEETING OCT 25TH KENYON RACING PRODUCTS SHOP AT 7:00 PM.

Well there is very little time for anyone to take a breather as we are just winding down the drag racing end of things also, and getting ready for some Stock Car Drivers Meetings coming up. In fact the first one is already scheduled for Oct 25th at Kenyon Racing Products Shop in Kemptville Ontario. The Late Model drivers, team owners and potential drivers are being invited to discuss rule changes that may take place or that they may want to see take place next year.

*Thunder Cars, Mini Stock, Lengends and Four for Fun meetings will all take place at Broadway Bar & Grill in Stittsville at prescribed times to be listed at a later date. This will also be to discuss rules and ideas for the 2007 season. We will be holding a general meeting, kick off party in the spring like last year.

*Lots of talk of some more new cars, and some former drivers returning in 2007 only time will tell but we have it from pretty good sources on some of this info so take note that there will be some seasoned veterans returning next year.

*At least one Late Model team is talking about expanding, and one already has and in doing so has signed a brand new out of country driver for duty at CCS every Wednesday night.

*We have been warning everyone about banquet tickets so if you have not got them then you better do so, Tickets can not be purchased at the door please keep this in mind.
*Another big rumor this week is that Steve Munro could have a set of very "Hot Wheels" under him in Late Model next year stay tuned for more of this rumors as it becomes available.

*Last but not least we would like you drivers, crew members and fans to vote on who you think was, DRIVER OF THE YEAR, ROOKIE OF THE YEAR, BEST EFFORT AT BEST DRESSED, email your thoughts to us as this will assist in making these decisions.

I think late-Model should used same rules than LMS-ACT/LMS-Quebec for all race series/racetrack using Late-Model Rules for Quebec province, Ontario and Northeast USA.

- Tubular perimeter frame
- 105 inches wheelbase
- 4 inches ground clearance
- SPEC MOTOR/Crate Engine like LMS-ACT/LMS-Québec

Lonely difference maybe for racing shock (ACT mandatory KONI at 125$ each). I agree with 125$ each max and mandatory. but a track/series could used another brand like AFCO, Pro-Shock, etc.

8 inches slick tires but maybe another than Good-Year.

Some "dispensation" maybe done to accept Ontario late-Model, CASCAR Late-Model/CASCAR-Sportsmen/Quebec SuperSportsmen, etc.

---

I suggest to invite sombebody from other racing organisation (ALSTAR, ACT, LMS-Québec, Kawartha, Peterborough, etc.)

---

* Just a reminder to all interested parties in he Late Model Class at CCS in 2007, drivers meeting this Wednesday Night at Kenyon Racing Products at 7:30. This is an opportunity to get your input in for the 2007 program and what will take place in the future of the class at CCS. I would also remind Thunder Car Teams that Tues Nov. 7th is your meeting at Broadways in Stittsville, again 7:30 is the time frame.
* We can now confirm the Legend meeting on the 14th of Nov at Broadways at 7:30 if you are in anyway interested in the future of the LEGEND class at the speedway then it is crucial that you participate in these discussion's, like they say if you don't vote don't complain about who gets elected. Following a four our meeting with Pat and George of Legends Racing Canada I think it is safe to say there will be many interesting things to be announced at this meeting. So again MAKE SURE YOU ARE THERE.
