Wednesday, May 30th - 1500$ to Win for 50 Laps LMS.

$1500. TO WIN LATE MODEL THIS WED. WILL SEE SOME NEW FACES IN THE CLASS: MAY 27/07

Where does time go, here we go into our fourth night of the year, a month is already gone and the Toromont Caterpillar ACT Late Model Weekend is only two weeks away. And that also means that over the next two Wednesday nights our late model fields should continue to grow as out of town drivers move in to take advantage of some track time before the big one. This Wednesday Night will see at least two or three new comers including Eric Chase from Vermont and the return of local late model favorite Steve Munro. This of course is Kenyon Racing Products Night and will also see the feature winner in Late Model take home $1500. for his efforts if he takes the checker flag. We know the Late Model class has been light to begin the season but it will grow, when we took over the track we made a commitment to run late model and we believed it would take a couple of years to build on that and we where right, but we know of things going on in the background with the ACT late model cars and we will see growth here and it will be home build growth. This Wednesday night as well as a couple of more important dates will see us go head to head with the Senators and their Stanley Cup run, never has it been more important to show your support for the track. The June 9th date is of course an afternoon race so anyone going to the game will be able to take in both as the racing will be done before 8:00 pm that Saturday, of course they will miss the great party with "Hyrd Guns" afterwards but you will be able to see all of Saturdays racing and still take in the game if you have tickets. If you are going to stay at the track we are working on a TV to be at the bar for everyone to watch also.

well weather threatened but was ok. No eric chase, no quebecers , only non-regular was Steve Munro. 9 cars total and the 38 seemed to be in test and tune mode.Thought it was supposed to be 50 laps but turned out to be only 30. That being said Shawn Kennedy ran a great race beating out Munro who went for the pass on the last turn but lost it and finished in the grass.

I don't know...they're having troubles getting cars out...apparently they have a bunch more coming...but it's 4 weeks into the year, and only 7 regulars have shown up and munro isn't running regularly there and 38 is a Limited Late model that they were testing/tuning/trying to fill up the field..

My guess on the laps is that they didn't think they have enough cars to run a full 50 laps.

heard that Kirby and and baird still working on cars, Matt moffitt not enough $, Charlie price not happy with track. Not sure  about John Ibey. He showed with a nice new car a couple times last year.
Any others that appeared in the CCS news over the winter that didn't materilize? I thought they said DEW would have a  LM running.

Ken Baird is building a new car after his wild ride at the end of last season, Heard Kirby had his car re-clipped at Kenyons and is still preparing the car.
John Ibey somebody said he was doing the  CTC nascar shows.

If everything goes to plan we'll have Matt out this Wednesday...after that it depends on funds.

Thease cars cost $$$ to run  .

Racing is a great hobby but we all have homes and famlies to suppport too.
