Dave o Dave o Dave...

What happened to the love in the room? Whenever I read any posts from you you never had this built up hatred for "another" track like this.

We don't hate you!!! Do you need a hug?

Out of everything that has happened in these forums the one thing that stands out to me is how well both of our tracks are getting along. I was at the first 4 cylinder invitational this year at BSW standing in the pits with Colt and Matt (slammer from CRO) and after the race BSW officials came up and shook their hands and thanked them for coming. I was blown away by that and thought that has to be the coolest thing (besides christening my car in the shop after I finished building it) I have seen in racing in years!!! These guys weren't owners or had any financial interest in the track they just genuinely wanted to say "Thank You" for visiting their track.

I have also read and seen many BSW and SS drivers talking on here like old friends and couldn't help but think this will filter up to the owners and realize maybe they can get along too. I have to admit I felt embarrassed at how it went when we had company after the BSW rainout night and the following week but was hoping that the proposed August invitational will help smooth that out.

I race at SS because I started out on a shoestring racing a 4 fun before moving up. It feels like home with all it's bumps and warts but I LOVE going to BSW as a spectator and in fact could even see myself racing there. The track is a real class act as far as I am concerned. I am not racing this weekend and was really thinking about heading up to BSW but with some of the new company we are supposed to get at SS I am very curious to see that so I am torn.

OHHHHHHH you misunderstood me Harold!!! I dont have a personal hatred for Sunset or any of its drivers!!! In fact I think if they repaved it, that track is a far superrorily configured track to Barrie!!! Could go into further on that but I wont!!! LOL I like Barrie personally, for the closeness you are to the racing action and it seems at more "eye level" to me thus appearing faster. Where Sunset is set in a "bowl" and the track surface I would say is "lacking" and due to past intances that place has "soured" me is all!!! What do you want me to say?? The occasional race there for me no time for it otherwise!!! Being honest and clear I think?? Good racers in all classes at that track !!! I just dont like watching races there personally, so I choose to have these thoughts is no relevance to you is it????

No I guess no relevance at all. I will say I do have to agree with some of the things you just mentioned.

We all know that if Sunset was to get a fresh surface and a whitewash of paint things would look soooo much different.

I think I was in part having fun with you (in a good way) but also get this funny feeling whenever I hear anybody that has anything bad to say about either track. I think it is great to see our tracks get along.

Yes I'd have to say the relationship between the two tracks in Barrie has gained major strides this year!!! And I think for that we all can be thankful!!! Sure I might raz someone someone about attending Sunset, but wouldnt think any less of that individual as a person either. And your right got many old and new friends at Sunset myself and glad for all of them!!

Spencer all I can say to you when it comes to racing knowledge is ;;;;;;;;;;;;;; YOU THE MAN!!!! Although in all essence it is STATSMAN that has forgotten more than both than you or I will ever know!!!LOL
this is true, statsman's genius never ceases to amaze

Geeze guys enough already you will make me turn the shade of Drew Stieler's Mustang before the sun faded the day-glo away... There was a day when I knew all the up and comers at all the tracks like Encyclopedia Spencer does now but now all those guys are now geezers like me and my knowledge is mostly ancient history.

I wish all the Bees luck although would much rather that they be back at Barrie. I know the challenges that they face changing tracks and trying to get caught up instantly with a tough field of cars and drivers that have been honing their setups all year and most for many years.
