They actually don't tend to post stuff like that.
Generally not - - but I will take a brief moment to address some of the concern that has been expressed, as I have fielded a handful of questions today on the matter.
To be clear: such incidents are not acceptable, and are dealt with in our rules and procedures. In this instance, a disqualification was issued to the 06 for the incident in question. Any other action would be handled internally through the Race Program.
We are glad there were no injuries as a result of the proceedings. Racing is an emotional undertaking, however it is important that the safety of both the competitors and track workers be taken into consideration. I am certain that this incident will serve as a reminder of this for some time to come.
As a sidenote, the speedway would like to extend its gratitude to all the competitors, sponsors and fans for such a successful day. It was the largest race of the year for both the Transmission Direct Enduro drivers and the largest race
ever for the Ultimate Sandblasting & Coating Chaos Car drivers.
The enduro itself saw the Next-Generation program truly come to life with the debut of a number of 6 cylinder or less cars and even a truck. While there were some unfortunate crashes and incidents, all drivers should be proud of their efforts at nationals. Even putting together an Enduro There really is quite a bit to look forward to and it will be very exciting to see these programs grow in the future.
