Twin 40s
« on: June 11, 2007, 10:06:46 PM »
Just wanted to say the Late Model twin 40 Sat night at Barrie was some of the best action I have witnessed !!! The first race was great from start to finish, especially the battle over the last five laps with Brown making a great pass on Mcloed, and Walters charge from the back of the back to finish 2nd was vintage STOMPIN TOM!!!! The 2nd 40 started off a lil slow with 3 early cautions but the late race battle between Shepherd and Malcolm was a great display of clean, tough short track racing!!! Great to see another jam packed crowd on hand and the cooler part was Bob Probert being there!!!!!LOL Did you people out there enjoy the on track action as much as I did???? Just wanted some feedback !!!!!

COMPLETELY AGREE

as far as i could tell the racing in all divisions was awesome! But to be honest I was a lil disappointed about Keith's car getting hurt early in the second 40! But what a great night of racing! and the crowd was awesome awesome awesome...4 deep in turns 3 and 4 was aweosme! Crowds like that are what keep our sport alive!

The Twin 40's were some great racing, best all year. I am a little biased though as I'm on the Shepherd crew. Browns pass on Mcleod was amazing, great to see him win after all his bad luck. The second 40 started pretty rough, pit lane looked like a graveyard. Of course I loved the end of the race, great, clean racing, with a dramatic pass at the end to win the race. It was awesome to see that many people in the stands, Brad & Steve must of made a killing.

Well as a member of the Shepherd Crew kinda looks to me like you guys always enjoy the races and after race party!!!LOL But really congrats man that win was much deserved!!!!! I would of liked to stay longer on Sat to celebrate with Vic, Gordie, and the boys myself!!!!!LOL Was a very fitting way to cap off the night by your team gettin the victory!!! Was probably the most popular win this year amongst fans and drivers alike!!! I think eveyone knows how hard Gord and your team work at gettin better each year and it just goes to show ya how respected Gord is in the pits by the number of other drivers congradulating him at the end of the race!!! Good run for Malcolm as well that was a great battle at the end!!!! Nice to see Darin back this year !! Great guy to talk to in the pits as well so easy goin!!! Will run you very hard but wont wreck ya just for the sake of 1 position he and Gordie are true racers as that exibit displayed Sat night!!! Best racing this year to date and thats really sayin something as the 1st month was dynamite as well!!! We should feel lucky up here that we get a Late Model  field the quality of the one at Barrie cause it sure shows up in the racing!!! By the way RRR Crew rid of the hang over yet?????LOL

The crowd stayed to the very end and it was late so you gotta know it was exciting... the race between shepherd and malcolm was about the best cleanest late model racing you could ask for the entire group of barrie drivers deserve a great round of applause as they put on the best show anyone could ask for

It is great to have Darin back, one of the cleanest racers out there. And the hang over is finally starting to subside, thanks for asking. ( remember the cooler is always stocked at the Shepherd Hauler, so stop by )

Yep wicked racing, Mike Brown was amazing so was Walters and Shepherd and pretty well the whole field put on a show, Mcleod had the car but not the luck,  it was an incredible night of action, never mind Probert,  Bonus John Gaunt was on the  patio, "best place for him ",no cry babies just racing.

That was probably the best LLM action I've witnessed in some time. I felt bad for Kevin Reynolds in the first race. I'm pretty sure it's now 6 times he has led a feature only to be "involved" in a deal with lewis.  Although I do not agree with the thunder car feature. Watching cars get lapped in 20 laps when they were running high 15's, kind of leaves a sour taste in my mouth. At least the track had the good for sight not to post lap times at the end of the night as well as edit their web page to make people think guys moved through the field by lap 10, thats not what I saw from pit lane.

The thunder car first and second place cars were ill as in illegal, l have never seen a poorer display in my life ,the Sponsor even told me how embarrassed he was to see 2 cars lap the field to 5th or 6th place .That does not and should not happen at Barrie.

I wouldn't start pointing fingers, unless things have been proven, but it does seem like they are leaps and bounds further along than nebody else...

we can just let tech deal with those fast cars. theres always gonna be a fastest car though, so i don't know.....shouldn't be lapping cars that quick though unless other cars are really that much slower...but ah well i know the track is trying their best...

Taj i think if you could see that race on replay only a couple of cars cleared the slow pack then the rest of the fast thunders got blocked behind them then got lapped, if the race cleared out earlier i think it would have been a better race...
