22 RACING ANNOUNCES DRIVER FOR CAN AM 200 AT CTMP
Milverton, ON, Wednesday May 10, 2017 – 22 Racing is pleased to announce today that Christopher Bell will be behind the wheel of the No. 22 car at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park for the first event of the 2017 NASCAR Pinty’s Series. The talented 22-year-old Bell is in his second year in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series full time competing for Kyle Busch Motorsports (KBM) as a Toyota Racing Development driver. Bell will make his first start in the NASCAR Pinty’s Series in the Can Am 200 on May 20th & 21st.
“We are extremely pleased to have the opportunity to provide a car for a driver of the caliber of Christopher Bell,” said team owner Scott Steckly. “I have no doubt he will be battling for the win when the checkered flag falls on Lap 51 of the Can Am 200.”
Bell will be arriving at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park Saturday morning after competing in the Camping World Truck series fifth event of the year on Friday night at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
The NASCAR Pinty’s Series is made up on 13 events across Canada from May 21st to September 16 with television coverage on TSN and RDS in Quebec. For more information please visit

Born December 16, 1994. In October 2015, it was announced he would join KBM in 2016 and compete full time in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. He finished the season with 9 top 5 finishes and 17 top 10’s and was 3rd in the driving standings. In 2017, he will compete full time in the KBM truck and has already posted 1 win and 3 top 10 finishes. He will also compete in seven NASCAR Xfinity Series races for Joe Gibbs Racing in the No. 18 and No. 20 cars.
