Title: ODLM dirt super late models in the area this holiday weekend
Post by: mike32 on July 30, 2008, 11:49:01 PM
Merrittville Saturday-and Humberstone Sunday as a part of their All Canadian Annual Special.
Merrittville-QEW to Hwy 406 to Beaverdams exit-right on Beaverdams-left on Merrittville Hwy to Track. Humberstone-QEW to Hwy 406 to Hwy 140 to Hwy 3-left two miles on Hwy 3 (might actually be a few more cars at Humberstone Sunday than Merrittville due to a LM race at Woodhull Saturday which might attract some of the Western NY cars). Expect to see SLM star Ed Carley from Freedom NY in the Stan Miskin #7 based in Port Colborne as well as Port Colborne's Adam Ferri. Other Canucks Rick Baker, Jeff Daymond, Pierre Mantha and a large group of Western Ontario cars. Hoping Kirk Hooker runs at least one of the shows.

Peter Mantha is coming all the way from Gatineau?

supposedly Pierre (aka Peter) is coming if no mod conflict. Gatineau is not that far (just the suburban Ottawa)

I haven't been able to make it to a race night yet this season. I plan on doing the triangle this weekend. Oshweken Fri, Merritville Sat, and Humberstone Sun. Looking forward to the ODLM, and the Sportsman .

Never heard him referred to as Pierre...even the Edelweiss website calls him Peter...

Gatineau to Merrittville is just over 350 miles...It's not that far I guess, but not that close either!!

The Ontario Dirt Late Models at Merrittvile & Humberstone should be great shows as each race is offering $2000.00 to win each night.Have heard that cars from N.Y. , Ohio,Ontario & Quebec have said they are coming.Watch for Ontario drivers like Jim Dale jr ,Chris Ross ( Wallaceburg Ont.) he races in tracks in Michigan & runs Eldora
Andrew Reaume who is one of the top drivers at South Buxton. For a fan of racing if you have not seen these cars run this is one series to take in as these cars are wicked fast on dirt.

This series (ODLM ) had their cars at the World Of Outlaws Show (late Models).@ Oshweken .Think they had about 15 cars that attempted to qualify with the WOO boys. They did time trials and heat races out of  two of their cars qualifyed for the WOO Late Model
feature( Andrew Reaume who finished 23rd & Chris Ross who finished 12th)This is a good series and fans will not be disappointed after seeing them who know when you see them Saturday (Merrittville) you may just want to follow them to Humberstone on Sunday.Enjoy they are wild to watch.
