Flamboro Speedway – August 18, 2018 Recap

With a couple guest divisions on the property, the action was still fast and furious on Saturday night at Flamboro Speedway.

Lucas Oil Can-Am T.Q. Midgets

Every time the midgets visit Flamboro Speedway, they seem to put on a show, and Saturday did not disappoint.

Adrian Stahle would make his way to the front to score the first feature victory ahead of Steve Murdock, Darren Dryden, Ryan Fraser, Luc Munsie, Brandon Zavarella, Cory Whittam, Cassidy March, Dominique Smith, Dave Miller, and Bob Bailey.

The inverted start for the second event worked out for Dominique Smith, as she picked up her first career series victory ahead of Brandon Zavarella, Darren Dryden, Ryan Fraser, Adrian Stahle, Steve Murdock, Cassidy March, Luc Munsie, Dave Miller, and Bob Bailey. Unfortunately, Cory Whittam failed to finish.

Ray’s Auto Center & Towing Super Stocks

It appears the events of a couple weeks ago are in the rearview mirror, as Brad Collison swept the pair of features.

He scored the victory in the first 20-lap affair ahead of Randy Rusnell, Bobby Mercer, Steve Book, Jeff Bean, and AJ Miller, with Dave Silverthorne Jr. unfortunately failing to finish.

Collision then made his way through the field to score the victory in the second event, this time ahead of Bobby Mercer, Randy Rusnell, Steve Book, Jeff Bean, Dave Silverthorne Jr., and AJ Miller.

Pro 4 Modifieds

After coming close last weekend with a runner-up finish, Mark Lucas scored the feature victory in the first race ahead of Rodney Rutherford, Mike Westwood, Cliff Hodgkinson, Shannon Morris, Joe Ferlatte, Dave Hodgkinson, and Larry Westwood.

The second feature saw Cliff Hodgkinson break through for his first feature victory of the 2018 campaign ahead of Mike Westwood, Rodney Rutherford, Dave Hodgkinson, and Shannon Morris. Mark Lucas would fail to finish after running into problems, while Joe Ferlatte and Larry Westwood did not start. Notably, Larry did not start as he loaned his car to Mike.

Jr Late Models

They may be small in size, but the Jr. Late Models put on a show in their first appearance of the 2018 season at Flamboro Speedway.

Carson Sim picked up the victory in the first feature ahead of Cole Burrows, Cody Wilds, Logan White, Connor Ellis, Hannah Brown, and Will Clarke.

Cody Wilds continued his winning season as he backed up a dominating year at Delaware Speedway with a victory in the second feature ahead of Connor Ellis, Hannah Brown, Will Clarke, Cole Burrows, Logan White, and Carson Sim.

Mini Trucks

It was no surprise to those who follow the series to see Jacob Campbell win the first feature on Saturday night ahead of Rob Broadhurst, Austin Arnel, Hayden Sim, Alan Wood, Kaisha Zimoch, and Will Wall.

Rob Broadhurst scored the victory in the second event ahead of Jacob Campbell, Austin Arnel, Hayden Sim, Will Wall, Kaisha Zimoch, and Alan Wood.

The action at Flamboro Speedway isn’t set to slow down as this Saturday, August 25, will see the OSCAAR Modifieds and Pro Sprints make their second stop of the 2018 campaign. On top of that, Saturday is also the Jukasa Motor Speedway Super Stock qualifier, meaning the feature winner will be locked into the field for the Canadian Nationals on Labor Day weekend at Jukasa, which pay $5,000 to win for the Super Stocks.

These three great divisions will be joined by the Pro Late Models, Mini Stocks, and Pure Stocks on Saturday night at Flamboro Speedway.
