Jordan Latimer to Appear on Johnsonville Stage at Motorama

Jordan Latimer’s appearances at the Motorama Custom Car and Motorsports Expo continue into the new year.

After previously appearing on the show’s young gun panel, Latimer will make his return to the Johnsonville Stage as part of Saturday’s Late Model panel. The panel, which will happen from 2:15 pm to 3pm, will feature Latimer and five fellow active late model drivers, discussing everything of relevance to late model racing in Ontario.

Latimer will be joined on stage by Hall of Famer Tom Walters, Derek Lynch, Scott Wylie, Mike Wallace and Thayne Hallyburton.

The Motorama Custom Car and Motorsports Expo, taking place at the International Center by Pearson Airport this weekend, is known as the kick-off to the auto racing season in Ontario, with track representatives on hand to discuss their plans, as well as racers unveiling their brand new looks. The show also features show cars from one end of the building to the other end. Show promoters have been hard at work putting together a top-notch line-up of special guests, including NASCAR legend Bobby Allison and WelderUp’s Steve Darnell. Full details about the show can be found at http://www.motoramashow.com/.

Following a successful rookie campaign at Sunset Speedway, Latimer is set to return in 2016 to race once again in the Sauble Falls Tent and Trailer Park Limited Late Model division. Notably, with the track’s NASCAR sanctioning, he has the ability to compete against drivers from across North America via the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series program.

Last season at Sunset Speedway, Latimer posted a few solid top-15 finishes to start the year, before turning up the heat during the second half of the season with three top-five finishes and eight top-10 finishes. He would finish 13th in the final standings, though more importantly, picked up the Rookie of the Year Award at the year-end banquet.

JL Motorsports is proud to be supported by Creechers Design, Kitchen Tire, KICX 106, 104.1 The Dock and Spencer Lewis Promotions back for the new year.

The teams continues to search for marketing partners, and has marketing packages that fit any company’s budget. Any interested companies can contact JL Motorsports at latimer.laurie04@gmail.com for more information.
