Cameron McGlashan Gets Caught Up Crash at Sunset Speedway

INNISFIL, Ontario --- Keeping himself in contention for a solid finish, Cameron McGlashan would get caught up in a crash during the Velocity 250 feature at Sunset Speedway this past Sunday.

McGlashan started off the weekend by finishing ninth in his qualifying heats on Saturday afternoon.

Starting 14th for the 35-lap feature on Sunday, he escaped the early contact at the front of the field in the opening laps with no damage, breaking into the top-10 with just nine laps on the board; he'd remain there until the first caution came out on Lap 10. Restarting on the outside of row five, he'd look to continue moving forward. However on Lap 14, the rear tire would come off the No. 51 of Craig Kamrath ahead of McGlashan. It would leave McGlashan nowhere to go, as he made contact with the outside turn four wall, before being hit by a fellow competitor. Ultimately, the damage would end his race early.

The Dave Middel-owned mustang is proud to receive sponsorship from G.D. Coates Used Car Superstore, Arbor Aces Tree Care Inc, ORVAuto, and Orillia Metal Fabrication.
