RV Demolition Show!!!!
« on: July 30, 2007, 12:05:02 PM »
I hear they have a new post race entertaiment show at the DUMP ON THE HUMP now!!! It appears track owner Glenn" The Mental Midget" Lloyd had decided to try himself some death defying stunts!!!FLMAO Now this to me is worth the price of admission alone, as you know how the old sayin goes accidents happen, and I for one would be there to lead that applause if that were indeed the case!!! Here I thought the moniker " THE WHOLE F*CKIN SHOW" might be more appriopriate for say Mr"s Walters or Morrow but boy was I wrong!!!! Congratulations Glenn you finally found a way to get fans to the track. Please post your next death defying stunt 2 weeks in advance on the website that way I can book the night off from THE GREATEST SHOW ON ASHPHALT to watch you perform my friend!!!FLMAO

Why dont you guys try to against the nascar grain?????  Or would you need to spend $40000 on a Nascar Licensed bus and RV?????? I mean like Glenn try's to do something different he trys to bring in a new fan base and tries to get new people hooked on Saturday night racing, what do you guys do up there just beat the name Nascar like a dead horse???? Like i mean i believe this past Saturday our show went longer was more entertaining and had more cars. How many of your features came down to the last lap or were they done on the first when the leader walks away with it???? Thanks to those 2 lanes of racing up there!!!! But thats ok because On the 9th of August we will get your money again, you will come down and pay money for the show and you will watch and probly not enjoy because the name nascar isnt plastered upon every thing in site(including photo edited into the saturday night result pictures). So simply enough unless yuor promotor is willing to put himself on the line for the sakes of a good show then man up by the $40000 bus and rv and lets see one of them give it a go, until then stay at barrie and enjoy the beating of the name nascar.

Easy guys! Relax. Dave, brendan is a good kid who loves racing and has obviously inhaled too much of that sunset dirt. And brendan, The vokey familly obviously has some sour grapes towards bee happy speedway so just let it go man. You have your track we have ours. we all know which is the better track so just let it go. ;D As for my two cents on the rv demolition. "is anyone surprised?, does anyone care? if he feels he needs to stray away from oval track racing to make a few bucks so be it, he already drove one of the best ovals into the ground, the only thing left to screw up is the "oval" part!

Well Doherty i have to say i agree with you on this one. I think dave as well as most of the other Barrie folks are just a little jealous of what Glen has been able to accomplish this year. I"VE been to both Barrie and Sunset 3-4 times each this year and can honestly say that i see no reason for anyone say that Sunset is a dump.Lets do a few comparisons.Sunset has a paved pit lane the entire length of their pit area,Barrie has dirt.Sunset has probably 80-100 concrete pit pads for the cars including the infield area. Barrie has what maybe 40-50.Barrie has maybe 75-80 cars total on a good night.Sunset has what maybe the same if you dont count the 25+ thunder cars and the 22-27 late models. The total car count usually averaging 105-132 if you count the night the TQs were there,of which they actually had to rope off part of the parking lot to accomadate the huge car count.Barrie has approxamately half the seating capacity of what Sunset has, usually about half full at Barrie and not being able to find a place to sit at Sunset.Sunset is running a few mid week specials,Barrie none.Sunset is running a mit full of wacky races including figure 8s ,jallopy, school bus and who knows what else to entertain the kids, Barrie nothing .These are only my personal observations,so if you dont believe some of them i suggest maybe having a look for yourself, seeing is believing. So Doherty i do agree with you on a few things.

Well guy's to call Sunset a dump on the hump I think is somewhat stale taste. I have been there for 4 nights and I can tell you that I have never felt more welcome at any other track as I was at Sunset the night I arrived. I wasn't even out of my truck yet when I was greeted by Glen and most of his staff and I can tell you it was an experience. The drivers where fantastic with us. At Barrie when drivers came to our pit it was to complain about something but at Sunset they come to our pit to shake our hand and tell us what a great time they had racing with us. Some of the Barrie 4 cylinders should try racing here at one of the Invitationals as Barrie is lacking them. These guys and girls will race you hard and clean and they don't b**ch about it later. I know the Barrie boy's always thought they were better so come on down and show us how it's done I'm sure my son and I along with the other racers would love to see you there.
PS. Get there early as this place is standing room only after 7.00pm all those great fans can't be wrong.

Yes i was conspicosly abscent last time cause i was doing some well needed repairs to my car and due to a few problems that came up the car was not ready but i was there watching. See and this is where people take this board to seriously, as much as i love free stuff my teeth are just fine, I dont goto a the race track and fight maybe you do at barrie but if i wanted to fight I would goto a bar get drunk and start a fight. This is where people bring down racing in Canada, because they can't take a simple discussion, you wanted to insult Sunset, so I insulted Barrie and now you want to fight, it doesn't matter how long you have been around or what you did to Sunset or what it did to you, simple enough as Keith put it what does it matter to you??? Your at the greatest show on earth now adays.

Blackflagagain  I don't think it was $ signs as I,m sure Glen is counting plenty of his own this year. If you can count that high and don't run out of fingers then count the people in the stands at Sunset and again at Barrie, a simple grade 2 education should work out the math for you.

PS  Now your'e not confused are you ?

Rick your thoughts may have carried some weight if not for the fact that the only reason you are at Sunset is because you were thrown out of Barrie for cheating .

I know you don't have much of a racing background but even you must grasp the concept of a 16 V track and a non 16V track for mini stocks by now so your "come on down" line is a little lame to say the least. Your standing room only comment could be true but only if those rotted grandstands cave in .

Stick to commenting about selling bald tires to Africans because you have allot to learn about racing.

And for the record my Dad has zero bitterness towards Sunset!!! His attitude when let go after 30 plus years was its Glenn's business he can run it as he sees fit so if thats where you think that is my reasoning for slamming the DUMP ON THE HUMP you couldnt be further from the truth!!!!

Gee Pinecrest I thought you were a smart guy and knew everything about racing, so why are you not in a car ? Could it be that your Depends won't fit into a Kirkey seat. Sorry to inform you but I was NOT thrown out of Barrie for cheating and can go back anytime, but hey you know everything ! right, no sorry you just think you do. BTW 16v engines ? WOW !! if I had known those mini stocks were 16 cylinder engines I would have never went there !
