Joey Ladouceur Extends Cornwall Speedway Point Lead With a Pair of Strong Finishes on Sunday Night; Three Races Remain Before Champion is Crowned
Craig Revelle – Finish Line Web Design
August 12, 2013

It was a busy Sunday night at Cornwall Speedway for Joey Ladouceur and his race team, with a regular night of racing on the card as well as the feature that was postponed due to rain on June 23rd.  Ladouceur entered the night tied for the point lead and only four points separating the top three positions.

In the 20 lap main event held over from June 23rd, Joey started from the sixth position, and was inside the top five as they completed the halfway distance on lap 10.  The caution came out with just one lap remaining and Joey was up to fourth place and maintained that position through the final distance.

After finishing his qualifying heat race in second place after charging from the seventh starting spot, Ladouceur was ready for the second 20 lap main event of the evening.  He started from the 12th position and was up to eighth place after a couple quick cautions before three laps had been completed.  By halfway, Joey was up to the sixth spot, and maintained that position to the checkered flag.  He know carries a 10 point advantage in the standings with just three events remaining.

“It was a good points night for us tonight”, commented Joey at the end of the night.  “With just three races remaining, we need to focus on the big picture, and tonight was a good night for us”.

This coming weekend, Joey will return to Cornwall Speedway on Sunday night looking to get back to victory lane.  The next events in the Mr. DIRTcar Sportsman Series are on September 6th, 7th and 8th at Ransomville, Merrittville and Humberstone Speedways.  The final race in the Seaway Sportsman Series takes place on Sunday, September 1st at Cornwall.

Joey Ladouceur would like to thank all of the sponsors that are on board for the 2013 racing season.  Coffrage 20-20/Pompage 20-20, Fence Depot, Minimax Express, Glengarry Truck Centre, Gauvreau Terre de Surface, Mr. Radiator, Lakeside Landscaping, Au Vieux Duluth, Number One Speed Shock Service and Finish Line Web Design are all an integral part of the Ladouceur team and they look forward to sharing their success with all of you in the future.
