Kawartha Results September 7th
« on: September 08, 2007, 12:18:07 AM »
Car counts were the not the greatest tonite. 11 LM and 11 LLM. Top three in LM were 71 McHattie, 99 Brown and 84 Jackson. Clean race with McHattie dominating. LLM top three were 53 Donaldson, 22 Delisle and 7 Tiemersma. 47 of Walters spun the 7 and the 88 twice and then the 20 of Brown for second. Was then parked and had words with the Brown crew after the race. Didn't see much of the race ( 2 laps ) but heard Walters was a weapon from both fans and a driver that was behind him. Thunder was won by 14 Dave Horner driving for his injured daughter while the 00 Willoughby won in Ministock. Looking forward to the ACT event next Saturday. Lynch is betting on 50 cars and for once think it may happen.  ;D

Which Kawartha cars are legal for ACT? I know most, if not all of the Capital City cars are legal...

aww come on Spencer! It would have been nice to see Tommy driving wreckless! I remember he was very aggressive in the Alstar Series! That was fun to watch!

yes very true! I would hate to drive all the way there for 11 cars! How has the car counts been for the LLM and Thunders at Sunset the last couple weeks?

Barrie has been alright! I believe we had 20 Thunders last weekend and I think 17 LLM. at least that's what I seem to remember...lol

well, last saturday was great for late models, we clocked in with 19 or 20, but the week before we had 16....so it's been up and down

we've had a steady 20+ field of thunders all year, which has been great, and is a definete improvement from last year

so all and all, things are going great

are all the thunders pretty equal? Barrie has about a hand full of dominant cars and then there are about a dozen or so cars that are mid pack cars every week. There are only 1 or 2 slower cars!

LLM well it's different every week! but the competition in that class is the best out of every division.
Pure Stock's there are about 20 of them and about a hand full of cars that always win!
Charger class there is just over 20 cars now. There have been many different winners this year. But it seems as though the top 3 in the points win most of the heats! but the feature is exciting with new people up front all the time!

Mercer finished 4th. Not bad, didn't want to have any major work this week getting ready for the ACT 200. Car was a bit too tight to get all the way to the front, started back row. The legal cars for the ACT event are ( I'm not positive ) 81 Mercer, 84 Brown, 99 Jackson, 46 Mowat/Mayhew. Also think the 55 Thring might be. 7 Sinopoli has the small crate but don't know if he is running. The 60 of Mayhew is also legal but he has been driving the Mowat car most of the season. Derek has said he is expecting 50 cars. Hope to see you there mobil and shadow.

Apologies, just noticed on my initial post the smiley face was put in front of Dave's injured daughter. It was suppose to be at the end of that post regarding the ACT car count. Have fixed and apologies for any offense.

Hope to see you there mobil and shadow.

With apologies, my attendance is doubtful. I'll be working here in London till 6 and I think the races'd be over by the time I got there. ISMA @ Delaware and the Sunday of Oktoberfest@Flam are the only ones I got left in me for this year.

But...the 81's got a fan in the London area now. Go Bryan!

Hi, I'm new to the forum just notised this place a few days ago..... I'v been a memeber on the RTR forum for a wile, but that place does not get much "post action" (and now it's been taken down)

I'm a big Racing Fan...and I hit up a lot of tracks threwout the year....

I attent Kawartha Speedway many times (The Most of anywhere) threw out the year...my favourite place to go watch racing on!

I'm really looking forward to the ACT race next weekend...ACT has a good artical on there main page about it if nobody has notised yet.

I thought all Kawartha Late Models were ACT Legal?   (I'm just a racing fan so I guess I hurd wrong)

Intersting to hear that McHattie won again......Jackson seemed to be unstopeable untill the last 3 weeks, when McHattie won the 100 lapper then I bealive Linc Brown won on the long weekend(was unable to attent these past 2 weeks)  then as was said McHattie won last night.

I was wondering does anybody think one of the Kawartha cars will  win the ACT race?  or one of the "top" ACT drivers?

I'v been debating this in my head for a little wile now, my thinking would be one the "top" ACT guys, but you never know.

anyway,  great looking forum glad to be apart of it.

I definitely think its going to be one of your top ACT/LMS runners...The home track guys are going to put on a good show, but the invaders have the experience at adapting to different tracks and have thousands of more laps in these cars than any one of the Kawartha/CCS guys can get over the same period of time....

Whoa, but I expect the # 81 may have work to do after the 200 lapper and by the way where in the H did the # 71 get all the ponies all of a sudden ... maybe tech should be looking into this a bit further and my picks for the 200 lapper will be the # 84 of Jackson or Brown if they don't get put out !
I sure hope the # 71 learns not to take cars up to the wall in the corners !
