I think it was a 1/4 mile back then wasn't it. ;D

That was back before the dinosaurs.

You'd have been just a teen then.

 ;D

Maybe if I was over 30 I'd take offence to that.

Shadow....I would hesitate to call Jimmy Wilson, AL Mitchell, Jack Sharpe, Bill Rowse ( Flipper ) or Harvey Lennox Dinasors...they made racing in the London area...those guys raced three and four nights a week with one car....these latemodel guys struggle with one night a week.....anyways the Wilcox duo does a great job....for taxi-cabs its a good show

I don't think for a moment Shadow was being detrimental to those pioneers of SWO racing. To the contrary, I'm sure he was referring to how close to the roots of racing here they are and were. Shadow was one of the first to help me out with info etc. when I needed it to teach a lesson on the history of Delaware Raceway to the JRL drivers. No shortage of passion in that character. :D

I wanna race now...k here's my offer. I'll pay $200(my life savings), give all my prizes and winnings EXCEPT the chassis(if I win it) to the car owner. All I want is a car capable of making the feature and running as long as the race starting set of tires and tank of fuel, and the McColl chassis of course.

My resume includes finishing 2nd a bazillion times in my ministock, haven't won a feature yet...I'm still using the same car I started with 6 years ago so I'm easy on equipment.

I think Biederman won it after buying his way into the show. Bought out Michigan's Dennnis Metipetigen (how's that for a handle!) who was the final qualifier. (in other word's, Dennis' car developed a mysterious ailment and Don was the bubble car) I think Don crashed out in his heat after someone blew (Dave Isen??) and then finished one spot short in the consi.
The days when Tracey Leslie ruled were golden.

With the update from the WWS on the points/lineups for the two-75 lappers, it looks like the fields should be somewhat even as far as car count between the two races....

Comments on APC300 weekend coming up Labour Day Weekend
1) Sundays race APC300 looks like it turning into a pretty good one especially if DJ Kennington,Steve Roblee and Dave Whitlock show up.
2)Fridays card looks pretty good also 2 Championship Races (Truck,Sport Stock ) andEnduro All Star Race
 3) Saturdays card unfortunally looks to be the poorest of all it has
a)Modified Challenge this groups average car count to date14 cars which is low.Maybe they will get out of track cars but as history of this group more unlikely.
 B) Cup Lites do not know what the track expect as a car count but this groups biggest car count has been 13 and there average count has been 9-13 cars for a 50 lap feature on a 1/2 track it could be possibly boring.
 c) King of the Hill.they are offering $2000.00 Plus as advertised
on Delaware web site (max 100 cars ) Pinks Format.
Can I ask is this a race track or dragstrip.Hope they (track )no what they are doing. Remember drivers ( race car ) will remember this.Everybody knows the track is making money off this event(King of The Hill ) first they do races $1000.00 towin
( By Sponsor ) and now offer $2000.00 Plus. Remember there could be trouble in Trackland in the future (re car counts )and why a 2 P.M. start
Overall I would give Fridays event a 7 out of 10. Sundays event possible 9 out of 10 ( Hopefully the 3 big drivers show ) but Saturdays show I would be lucky to give it a 5 out of 10 and that would be luck.
As for a rumour on the Delaware Grass roots Racing site about no banquet if it is true it would be a slap in the face of both staff and drivers that show up every race night. Hopefully this rumour is false but again you never no

Yet again, there's a difference between the track putting up the money for KOTH and sponsors saying "We'll give you money for KOTH if you do this"...

Mobil, I talked to a few Lm drivers at KD tonight and the only for sure would be the 81 of Mercer. Jackson's crew, as well as Morgan's said they were thinking about it. Didn't ask any Ottawa cars but can't see them hauling that far. the 44 of Laking may show with the 82. They seem to run the invitationals, at least at KD, together. Wouldn't be too surprised to see the 3 of Boschler their either. This car looks sharp. Don't think any other KD regulars will make the haul.

The field shaping up for the APC 300 looks awesome!!  Many of the best in Ontario appear to be on the list and intending to go.  Maybe some of the no-shows will figure out later what a terrific opportunity they've missed.  The APC 300 is really a showcase event for Late Model racing and those drivers who prefer to stay home and leave their cars in the shop or the trailer will be missing what can only be described as perhaps the best opportunity of the year to show their talent and skill.  Not only that, the racing purse is more than fair, and with all of the random draw prizes to be given away, pretty much everyone should come away a winner.  I guess the bad news and disappointment is that some of the most notable names in Ontario Late Model racing are choosing to park it.  And that raises the question of what is it they want to support a sponsor and a show that puts together this kind of a program?
