Thats not very nice to say March. The only year Delaware had 5 cars was a few races last year. Races where the payouts were bigger and on a saturday night like sept3,2011 there was 18 modifieds. the biggest problem was for our team trying to run a modified on a friday night. competition was always good in the modifieds. any of the regulars could have won on a given night. hope to run again in 2012 but will be hard having to travel 2 hours to 4 hours to race now that delaware isnt full time.

modpit man ,sorry if taken the wrong way ,I hope the best for these guys  ,but the turth is the turth, ive been going to delly over 25 years ,PPL didnt get up and leave  during mods because of the cars or the drivers it was the amount of cars ....... ,your right the 18 car was great ,but on a reg fri night newman could whip the any time (I dont KNOW newman)but i could tell u he was sandbaging it in the heat and just whip them feature time, there was 7 cars on most nights 2 being slower ...if they get the car count up there gonna do great racing  like it was long ago........Good luck

but now march you will have to go to bathroom or get popcorn and miss the other racing...lol...
i like watching the mods and after seeing them at colours the last 2 years and octoberfest and then hearing about the osscar deal thought this was going to be great but it's unfortunate to read all this stuff on here...

IM GLAD TO SEE delly kill the class, but it was a good class for going to the washroom or get popcorn
the turth is they did three years to late,no one can run a class with 5-6 cars with the same guy winning week in week out, feel bad for those guys that can afford to travel so there cars just sit

,richard warns aka owm9095 people would try an would with you but you say one thing and then do the complete opposite, we try to work with you but then when if a varney car wins you want you D Q them just cause they go faster doesn't mean there cheating. but good luck to you with your own series hope all the best with you 5 cars..
was this the peterborough thing?
the one where the varney website had the rules up, and were taken down after a discrepency between the feature winners left side % and what the max allowable said on varney's website?
or was there another night?
just curious

Well David, aka burrows boyz, we would ask that you refrain from taking over a message board that has been provided for the Techtonix Open Wheeled Modifieds. Also to refrain from speaking for us and stick to what you know..

mod_racer....to answer your question, we will work with any modified that wants to race...of course within reason to our rules which are the modified rules that we have worked with over the past couple of years....we will be looking at what handicaps / weight penalties will be necessary to maintain fair and equal competition. Just a few things that we will have to deal with now are coilovers all around, wide 5's, quick changes...closed chamber heads and another new carb...so we will be looking at what is required and have it available on our new website over the next few weeks...
Two definite common requirments will be 8 in tires and rims and 7,000 rpm chips.
oh i see how it is now,now that oscaar has 30 cars registered on the web site, your going to change your rules to try to steel cars for your series, richard warns aka owm9095 good luck you said the rules were crazy and a wast of money ,but now are trying to accommodate so cars will show up to mosport.i was at mosport last year with my 70 plus year old grandfather who was the 7 th mod racing there, not to good for the drivers or the fans to see 7 cars on a half mile track.

I find all this shit funny  the mosport guys complain about cars but when guys show up they get treated like shit and dont wanna go back.  No ones says you have to buy a quick change or go to all coil overs or any just to run the oscaar series.  Your just pissed because you lost your date at peterborough

What does each series pay to win?

mod_racer.............seeing as you didn't reply to our previous question.....maybe you can tell us, do you have a mod? and if so, have you raced it in the past couple of years when the modifieds have been trying to regroup? If not why not?

Also why is spending more money what the modifieds needed?? different tires, different rims, now quick changes, coilovers allround...etc..just spend more money for less money??
Maybe you can explain to us how that is what the class needed?

Basically, when cars are built or a superlate chassis is used, what you end up with is a limited superlate model that is now being called a modified?

Maybe you can offer your reasons as to how this is better for the modified class?
