LONDON, Ont. – June 30, 2017 – Matt Pritiko is set to return to his home track at Delaware Speedway for round four of the APC United Late Model Series schedule on Canada. The July 1 showdown at the famous Southwestern Ontario half-mile is a major cornerstone of Pritiko’s schedule and a race he looks forward to each season.

“It’s great. I can wake up in my own bed and go to the racetrack,” Pritiko joked. “I’m really looking forward to it. We tested there the first of the month and we were pretty quick, so we know we’ll run well.”

After suffering through engine issues in the second race of the season and a mechanical problem two weeks ago, Pritiko now has his best equipment back in top shape for his Delaware return.

“It’s going to be great. It’s well needed,” Pritiko said. “We have a bunch of people coming out from Global Warranty to support us, so we’re glad we have all of the good stuff in there so we’re ready to rock and roll like the first event where we finished second.”

Racing at his former home track is an advantage for Pritiko. The multi-time Delaware winner will be able to use extensive knowledge of the track to perfect the setup before the car even hits the racetrack on Saturday afternoon.

“We know the correct gearing. We’ll be more or less fine-tuning because we already have a really good setup there,” Pritiko said. “We kind of know what the track’s going to do usually, so we can gear up for that. With a setup from McColl Racing, I think we’ll have a good shot to be in the top spot.”

Pritiko has a top-five and a pair of top-10 finishes in three starts this season. His quest for the first victory of the season begins with practice at 2:00pm on Saturday. Pritiko will be gunning for the pole starting position in group qualifying scheduled for 6:00pm. The 100-lap main event is scheduled for approximately 8:00pm.
