I have no idea Don but I would like someone to break 3 of his fingers so restarts would not take all night or send him to Mosports Oval to see how to do it properly .

Which on has left the ring?
I was there once and saw the old camera guy there, Mark trying to do something with the flags. It is not the easyest position, You have to show "NO" favourtism.  Was there a couple of weeks ago and saw a lot .

Pinecrest - I said the same thing about restarts- turns out Sunset has a rule about guaranteeing 3 laps after the cars are lined up to anyone in the pits- due to some kind of incident in the pits and speeding - saw that in General Rules - different huh?

Ya its called allowing kids in the pits and having to show a little more caution in the pits. Understanding the situations of flat tires something had to give. more cars, busier pits.

XSPOT  I agree with you about the restart rule at Sunset, it may take a little longer to run a race but it is a lot safer for the people in the pit area as the cars coming in are not going all nuts.I also noticed that throughout the night it was very usefull in letting at least 8-10 cars get back out to finish there races.

We run Sunset 3 or 4 times a year and love the 3 lap rule.
It has allowed us an opportunity to get back into the feature a couple of times.
And yes it certainly is safer and it gives the announcer an opportunity to make additional comments about the series and it's drivers, allowing the crowd to get more familliarized, allowing more probability of the fans returning to see us another day. Other tracks should look at this.

if you're curiosity is so overwhelming that you must venture to the internet...

Assistant Starter Craig, formerly known as Corner Three Craig was assigned as per military orders to Hamilton, thus ending his tenure (on good terms with Sunset)

Our new assistant flagman is Rick Stultz

Hey Spencer - how did activities go Saturday at Sunset? Heard the new flagman is doing well? Any plans to keep him there - not trying to start rumour mill but heard Glenn was extremely impressed with him - more so than the original guy? Come on Spence - inquiring minds want to know:)

For those who are concerned, Bill did a great job even though he has had a rough summer with health problems. It is not an easy job filling in and not knowing how the previous man had set up. He made a few mistakes, but NO ONE is perfect.  The was some rough housing with a couple of cars when a young rookie tried to shove a well seasoned driver into the inside wall. But, He had problems which took him out of the feature. It was not an accident, it lookied more of an intentional try. But Bill did a great job of talking to both drivers and giving a stern warning.
