or a good hard kick in the bearings! (ball bearings that is). Marvin has done a super job racing these past couple of years and brings a lot of fun back to the track. something we haven't seen in a long time. his motto is "i'm not racing against you guys, I'm racing with ya". congratulations to marvin for being himself. remember, win or loose. as long as you gave it your all, you'll always be a champion.

The sad thing of it is, in racing, every one is usually willing to help competitors out if somthing is needed. Why the hell would ya steal a wheel? theres a million laying around in shops. Pritty ghetto.

It happens a lot up there. Two years ago it was a mini bike some one using to go back and forth from the pits off turn two to the campsite and back.

Here is a short video of the final lap of the LLM feature at Autumn Colours. I intended to get the last 10 laps, but I think i hit the record button twice and missed the action between Mitchell and Walters. I wasn't too happy about it, but I thought you would like to see the events after, leading up to Big Dogs car going airborne on the final lap down the front stretch. I hope everyone was ok.

I read an update on facebook that Mike Meyer's had a concussion, but that's all. Considering how bad that wreck was, I'd say that's not bad at all.

Yeouch - that was one of the hardest hits I've ever seen going into that corner. It all started at the start finish line and once in motion, there was no stopping the outcome....

Mike's gonna go through a lot of little pains - wish him a speedy recovery over the winter!

I watched the wreck from the infield, and it looked just as bad as Dans view.. Im glad all involved were pretty much ok afterwards.. It was very scary to see and a hush definately fell on the racetrack right afterwards...

Good job as usual catching as much action on the track as possible Dan!!

That said,
I hope J.P. will look into a better set up for that corner! having a flat wall that cars can hit dead on is nonsense.. he could at least install something that is curved with the track.  and if hit lets the cars carry the forces of the wreck a little bit further.. instead of just a full stop into a barrier, it could spit the car out into the top area of 1-2 a little.

Im sure that isnt the first wreck in that corner, and it wont be the last. and its hard for the track with both openings to the pits/tech area right there, but im sure that there is something that could be done to minimize the damage to both cars and drivers in that corner..

I went for a wild ride off he end of 1 in the B saturday night. Iremember when there was no wall infront of the ambulance there that was even worse, wreck your car AND the ambulace.

Hey, give JP credit,  there is 4 small car tires stacked infront of the wall for everyone's safety.

Peewee Evans had a very similar wreck in his super late model 4 years ago i believe.  head on into that same wall just coming to a complete stop.   he never went airborn though, so at least had time to lock the brakes up and slow down a LITTLE BIT.
