Hey Buddy, I'm going to tell you something. We've raced at Grand Bend for 4 yrs and have supported the track faithfully. As a matter of fact I've offered the use of my construction equipment and manpower on numerous occasions. I've sponsored races, and a car in every class except the 4 cyl last year and again this year and bring not 1 but 4 cars to the track. Please don't assume that I'm not supporting the track. As for the meetings I work 60 hrs a week including weekends. This is my dilemma, I'm running out of time with the hours I have to build these cars.
Thanks, Mike March

Perhaps next time you could call the Speedway office and leave a message, rather than take a crack at them on here.........might be a nicer approach for them.

Rule books were handed out today, along with Brad discussing possible long term changes to the Jr A and JLM classes (just throwing ideas out for people to discuss and get back to him about). I'm sure if you called, he could probably mail you a rule book now.

I understand they're busy. They do a great job, but I don't need a rule package, I just need the changes. I don't want to find out that there are rule changes and have to cut up newly finished chassis.

It's funny you say stuff like this when you didn't attend the first meeting and all of the the rule changes were gone over class by class.

Did you attend todays meeting and get your answers?

Racers in general need to work with promoters rather than make a post like this and try to make someone look bad.

Brad/Sue/Doug/Chicken and the other people involved in GBS invested alot of time and money into a speedway that caters to 1/2 and 3/4 scale cars which give all of our kids and families a place to go race at and be proud of.

I personally have a lot respect for the roll of the dice these people made when they decided to perform the makeover that is still being done.

I think we should perhaps all have a little more respect for the people with their necks on the line and try to communicate in a more personal respectful way rather than making everything an "issue" on a website post.

The next time everyone see's Brad, Sue and Chicken, everyone should thank them for the career choice they made....because without them, all our kids could be pretty bored in the summers.

I stopped by Brad and Sue's place yesterday, and they're just finishing up all the rules packages.  I believe they'll have them out at the meeting this weekend.  Just remember to give them a break, as they've been working their butts off trying to get all the rule packages together, plus everything else that is going on at the track.

You'd be amazed by how many stacks of different rule packages they have at their place.  Not many people would be willing to put as much time and effort into that stuff as they do.

Just remember to be patient, as they've got a lot more on their plates now that Doug has passed.

It's great that they can have a schedule ready by Nov/Dec. I have 2 cars sitting on jigs and no rules. As the web site says new rules in 2008. Is that when the season starts or ends? We've got car shows and sponsor commitments but no rules to build the cars.
