Will Nascar have to make changes when there is safety trucks on the track? Never seen anything like this before. Seen a couple of drivers tap the pass car. If it happens once it could happen again.

This could have been a lot worse. there is a lot of fuel in those jet dryers. It's like a time bomb ready to explode.

Maybe fuel cells on the blowers instead of the aluminum tanks they use now but overall I agree with thecrowdpleaser.

Maybe cars shouldn't be zooming around when these trucks are on the track?

Just glad no one was hurt in this freak accident.

Even though it was a freak thing I would imagine the insurance carrier will be dictating some changes. Perhaps safety truck only allowed only along the bottom of the track or no jet fuel on the track at the same time as the cars and likely a smaller fuel tank on the jet dryer. I get stuff happens but I have yet to hear that fly with the insurance people

I've seen other post with that clip, and in this context it doesn't fit. Montoya didn't intentionally turn right and wasn't driving recklessly.

Montoya has made A LOT of mistakes in the past, but this was a complete accident, he is not that dumb.

but back to what can be learned from this. If racecars, air craft, and others need a fuel cell, the jet dryers should too

Agreed on the fuel cell. It just makes good sense and shouldn't be that hard to implement.

All I know is I sat there watching that fire spilling down across the racetrack, and pondered what would have happened if Juan hadda planted his car into the back of it rather than glancing off.

Have to agree with d-Hilborn the whole incident was not with intent
and video out of place. It's unfortunate what happened, and could have been worse. NASCAR has always been on top with regards to safety, I am sure they will take all the necessary measures to correct and improve. Personally I thought they did a good job with what was totally unexpected.

People this is just a video no one said it was his fault and if it would have been worse the video would have been made I bet and it wouldn't have been posted here.

It was a freak accident that happened and that's it.

Boy not posting the box of Jimmie Johnson a box of Cheaties Cereal box.

Didn't something break on the car to cause him to spin?

He was talking to his crew chief just laps before it happened and he Juan said that there was a major vibration in all gears... Maybe something happened to the drive-train??

Why is it that no one listens to any of the interviews on radio or TV, YES he broke, he said it, the team has said it and NASCAR has said it

haters have to hate.

Juan wasn't exactly a no-talent bum when he came to NASCAR. But he's "foreign" and an easy target...which caters to the baser needs of the redneck crowd quite nicely.  ::)
