Not to spoil the positive image of Hendricks, but Jimmie and Chad will be really disappointed when the man that leaps from his car after a race, when others are wore out, takes the Championship by storm, in both the Sprint and Nationwide series.

2008 Nascar Champion- Brother -Carl Edwards !!!

Sorry to spoil everyones day, but lets face it- if Jimmie would have run as many races as Edwards did this year, his body would have gave up a long time ago.
I'm not saying that the Hendricks camp isn't the very best Team in Nascar, because they are, but when it comes to Driver talent, there is no other Driver, in any series, that can hold a candle to Carl Edwards and his determination to win on any given day.

Aflac signed a 85Million dollar deal with Roush, based on one simple rule...
EDWARDS is the Driver in the Aflac Ford till 2013.

That alone sums up his ability's, more so when you look at Hendricks and the struggles they have had trying to land a sponsor for the 88 for next year, the 24 car for 2010, and finally the 48 car in 2011, it kind of sets the tone.
Times are tuff and sponsor money no longer will dictate winners...
Its all based on Talent, and Edwards is the head of the class... $85 Million AND ALL !!!
kyle busch look at wins.not to start a fight jmnsho.

It's 88 in the Nationwide Series - there's the standard as Brad isn't a well known driver all around. Dale Jr. is signed on for 5 years with sponsors on the cup side.

You do have a rightous point in saying that Carl is a strong one in the garage, although I think Kevin could give him a good smack or two as proven, but we're not looking at both sides of the coin with Nationwide & Cup so therefore don't even start with Jimmie running full series in both. And I strongly say you're doubting Jimmie in strength as Jimmie is probably a lot tougher than you think. Also, on the topic of cup drivers running nationwide full time and going for the titles, that shouldn't be rightously allowed because those titles should be going to those driving full-time there and haven't made it to cup stardom yet - therefore equaling Brad as the right champion. When you have cup drivers running nationwide for titles, it's a like pro hockey or football player stepping down a step in the ladder there. It doesn't happen there so why in NASCAR? IMO cup drivers should only be allowed to run a max. of 10 Nationwide races a year :)

I forget where I originally read this idea. but if cup guys want to run the nationwide races, then they race for last place points.
Essentially, if there are 15 cup guys in the race, they race for the last 15 point positions and prize money. That way the true nationwide drivers can get winning points for say a 4th place finish, and also get the winners money. Now I know a lot of the top nationwide drivers are driving top cup team owner cars, but at least this will get more money into the lower budget nationwide teams pockets.

And Edwards running two series' doesn't prove anything. Busch isn't exactly a big boy, and he has run more Nascar races that edwards this year, and that doesn't even count the late model races he does

The problem is this will create M0RE start and park teams if they are guaranteed like a top 30 payout anywhere they go

Somebody once told me you can teach a monkey to drive a car.  The driver is essentially ballast.
Buddy Baker summed it up once when he said " Drivers, size 14 shoe, size 2 hat". Words of wisdom I think.

But it will stop the thing that we've got goin with Cup drivers stealing championships that are rightfully the Nationwide only drivers.
