4 cylinder racing
« on: January 29, 2007, 03:10:33 PM »
hi there....have been keeping flamboro mini stock drivers up to date on whats going on at grand bend...and there is alot of interest...since flamboro runs saturday nites, we use to head to barrie, varney, sunset and peterboro invitationals alot on sundays...but sunset stopped 2 years ago, barrie D shaped isnt liked much, varney has a love/hate thing going (i love it) and that T.O traffic to peterboro is brutal....so i think  you'll see a few of us flammy cars up your way..i posted the sunday shows on our chat site...just wondered about whether we have to have a membership to run or just pay everyweek like most tracks...never been to grand bend, is there camping or tenting area at the track, so we could tow up after flamboro racing?...is there a tim hortons?..lol...thanks for any info.

I dont know if the camping area will still be there or if they changed it but there was one last year and all previous years and yes there is a Tim Hortons like 2 minutes away from the track right in grandbend been there a few times on the sunday mornings for breakfast on double headers

ok ty...i kno a bunch of us use to head to all the sunday invitationals years ago...but sunset which we loved stopped them, the traffic thru  t.o.  to get to peterboro is murder, varney is a love/hate relationship (i love it) and most hate barrie's new track...so i'm sure there will be a few trips to grandbend...and last year i took 2 days off work to tow up to sauble and all we saw was rain up there, so no more week night racing this season...ty again.
